In comparison these speakers out perform any 6 1/2 " speaker I listened to..I'm running a 300/2 amp and at 2 ohms....and they sound incredible

These were installed in the Soundbar of my 2000 Wrangler. I had Polk DXI 650s in the soundbar, but had just installed an amp - and the amp just drove the highs on the Polks to an unmanageable high pitch. I replaced them with the Alpine SPR-60s. Much better sounding speaker. There is a difference in fullness. It does take more power to drive the Alpine speakers - as their sensitivity is 88 where the Polks are 91. The sound of the Alpines are fuller, deeper, and the highs are right where they need to be. My soundbar has already been lined with Dynamat and polyfilled. I am happy with these speakers - so much that I just replaced the Polks in front with Alpine SPR-50s.

I installed these in the sound bar of my 2016 Jeep Wrangler coupled with a 4 channel amp @ 100watts RMS per channel. I ran new 16 gauge wire from the amp (mounted under the drivers seat) up to the speakers. No matter what volume you play they are always crisp and have no sound degradation. Would recommend to anyone looking for quality without spending a small fortune.

Purchased a pair of these speakers to go in the rear doors of my Ford F-150. These speakers are a HUGE upgrade over the stock junk that were in the truck. Amped up correctly these speakers ROCK!

I'm going to put it as simple as possible... Alpine Speakers are the best... especially their type R collection.. this is the second time I purchase this same model.. for my second car... Sound quality is amazing.. I suggest installing them with an amp.. other than that you're golden...

These are the absolute best your money can buy if you're going for a low budget upgrade. These work best with an aftermarket amplifier or a factory upgraded ampilifier. Though they sound great with a head unit integrated amplifier they don't get pushed hard enough for optimal sound. An excellent Amp to pair it with would be the Alpine PDX-V9.

These are great for even an in amped sound system! Installed in my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited paired with a Pioneer AVH-2800BS,Polly fill behind speakers and it ROCKS! No obvious +|- markings on the speaker nor did I find it in the instructions. But got it.

I replaced my factory speakers with these alpines and I wasn't dissapointed. These speakers can take everything my amp can give. They are great sounding and have good bass response.

I'm not a speaker snob so my review might not be best but has great sound way better than stock and haven't even added an amp yet can't wait to hear them then

These are great as mix bass drivers but the highs are just a tad too shrieking. Drop the treble a bit and adjust your amp accordingly and you won't be disappointed.

Best speakers I've ever purchased. I got them on sale for 100. Good luck finding that deal.

Hooked a set of these up to a kicker 300 watt amp and they sound wonderful crisp highs go great with my Kicker 12" l7

The speakers are ok for something stock but need to buy amplifier to make them sound amazing

Fit nicely in my 99 z28. Sound great. Some rattle but it's the door.

They are ok but i wouldnt pay 200 dollars for them.
