I bought these earbuds a few months ago. Primarily I was searching for something comfortable, inside of the ear, and with great sound quality. These earbuds certainly deliver. They look sleek, are super small and portable, and the cord is as smooth as silk - they look like a million bucks. After a few months, one of the earbuds came unglued, which exposed the wires. Rather than hassle with customer service (since i didn't buy the protection plan) I just decided to fix the bud with a piece of scotch tape. Just today, the speaker blew out, for no reason. Im disappointed that for the money spent, the durability of the product is really lacking. I've spend $30 on skull candy buds that deliver the same performance and last LONGER. One thing I found kinda cool about these however was that they survived a trip through the washing machine. This was long after they had come unglued, but I left them in my pocket one day, found them at the bottom of the machine and was then surprised when they still worked. I would recommend the product, but I would strongly suggest spending another $20-$30 to spring for ultimate luxury instead of pseudo-lux buds like these.

I snagged these earbuds at a very discounted price. I've been on the market for really good earbuds and thought I'd give these a try given the price. The audio quality is decent, I like the no tangle cloth cord and the various ear bud fits that were included. The noise blocking could definitely be better. Had I paid full price I would have returned this product. I plan to keep it and keep searching.

Very good headphones that sound great. They come with multiple ear pieces to match your ear size. The headphones are very stylish and come in their own pouch for ease of portibility. Very good value for the money.

I got these for my wife because she was using ear buds a lot more and the deal was great. I tried them and the sound was quite good. She loves them and says they are much better than the ones that came from Apple with her iPhone.

Best set of ear buds I ever used. I recognized the brand name, but was curious if it translated into a high-quality personal audio product like this. My hopes were realized!

The ear buds work wonderful for my wife. She has taken then to Afghanistan 2 times and other than some dirt no issues. Great sound and durability

Biggest plus is the comfort of the earbuds. Sounds quality is great for the size, only downside is cord weight which is light and can lead to tangles. Good for the sale price tho!

It is nice that they have different ear inserts to handle different size ears.

Originally purchased for my own personal use, however they are for a woman, and even the larger tips didn't fit well. I used them daily for over a week before I just gave them to my lady. The sound quality is great though.

These earbuds had incredible sound, but they broke within the second week. They just stopped working. Not worth my money.

This headset is great for use with phone or ipod, clarity is awesome. Nice piece in budget for music lovers.

Got these as a back up pair but finally got them out to test and found out there is no sound from the right earbud. Too late return but I will use the carrying pouch and extra earbud pads which were quite comfortable.

Even for the discount price, these were the worst earbuds I've ever used. They sound very tinny and cheap. A big disappointment.

I paid bargain price twenty bucks and am very happy with the product. Had to fight my way in to over-complex, bad for planet packaging. Love Altecs's no-tangle cord and sweet storage pouch. These earphones fit well and come with various buds for different ears. I want them for noise isolation on planes and they're good for that. Last Altec earphones lost comms to one side after a year's heavy use, so lets see how these go...

My main reason for buying these buds was for the initial view of build quality. I look for earbuds that have a braided cord rather than a plastic one. I had an old pair of Skullcandy earbuds that had the braided cord, and they were awesome. Unfortunately, I lost those earbuds and they weren't making new ones with the braided cord. When I went to Best Buy to buy more these were the only brand that had the braided cord. I still wasn't very sure about purchasing them because I hadn't heard or read much about the audio quality of the Altec Lansing brand. One of the sales people at Best Buy came by and he said that these were the exact ones he owns and that he loved them. He said the sound was great. When I got home and started using them I found out immediately that the salesman's experience on the sound from these earbuds was quite different than mine. I'm not an audiophile at all, but I was immediately disgusted with how bad the sound was on these. There isn't any bass at all and they are very "tinny". Too much treble maybe? Again, I'm no audiophile so I can't explain it properly other than the very tinny sound. I kept these buds anyway because I use them for listening to audio books and other "non-music" material where the tinny sound isn't an issue. If you are going to use these for music I'd pass on them and go for another brand.

Good set of earbuds; I purchased these for my wife, and the set of different sized ear pieces makes for a comfortable fit, she says. I tried them and thought the audio was accurate, but bass a little lacking, but I suspect it would have been better with a tighter fitting earpiece (my ear canal opening is probably slightly larger?). Construction seems sturdy with cloth covered wire which does not have a tendency to tangle like the sticky rubber ones.

The best thing I can say about these headphones is that they are extremely comfortable. I have narrow ear canals and find it difficult to wear any earbuds for extended periods. The cord is also nice and long with a woven covering that doesn't feel like it's sticking to me when it's hot or I'm exercising. Unfortunately the sound quality is so-so and the volume output is much quieter than other sets I own. They do muffle ambient noise reasonably well but it's still frustrating in louder environments. Had I paid full retail price I would've sought a refund but, since they are so comfortable, I'm satisfied to use them for listening to podcasts and the like.

So I actually have 2 pairs of these headphones, the first pair I use at work while I am on an 8 hour shift, this is the pair that had one of the ear pieces come unglued after about a year and had the wires exposed. However I can usually just pop it back in place and not be too annoyed. I also have another pair (different color) that I use for working out. These are by far the best headphones I have ever used and believe me I have been through a lot, sony over the ear noise canceling (gave me migraines from having them on over an hour), sony in the ear voice canceling (popped out of my ears), too many jvc's to count, skull candy (which just hurt my ears and kept popping out). I could go on forever but I finally found the perfect headphones with these and am actually ordering another pair to replace the first pair that broke. The only reason why these have a 4 rating is because of the one pair that broke after only a year. But other than that I love these things and will probably only ever buy these headphones again.
