Great dishwasher holds a lot of dishes. I like the three settings and love he heated dry

This is a fine washer that I imagine a contractor would put into a new home. Basic, yet looks nice and washes dishes well.

We wanted a dishwasher that worked and wouldn't break the bank. It does the job.

Bought this because is good and didn't really need over the top features.

I've bought 2 of these dishwashers for homes I've renovated and they are great dishwashers. I'll be buying it again.

Dishes were clean and the cycle time was great. The delivery was right on time! The price was excellent.

This is a good machine, gets the job done and at a good cost. For best results, use the highest setting and a rinse aid.

Washer is quiet and pretty. Was installed perfectly causing it to fit nicely into the design features of the kitchen which leaves my wife and I very happy indeed.

Looks and works great as we use it for a rental house.

Purchased 4 years ago the Amana Dishwasher has preformed fine. It gets the dishes clean, without leaks, or problems. It is quiet and was easy to install in the existing compartment under the kitchen counter. Plasitc tub with black front panel. Controls are on the front, at the top of the door. After 4 years the unit stopped working. No lights, no noise, nothing. Troubleshooting the unit I found the probable casue for the failure is either a failed push button panel or a failed PC circuit board. Easy to get to for replacement but the cost of these two parts (made by Whirlpool) is almost as much as the entire unit when it was new. No wiring diagram is available from Amana. The interior vent for the dishwasher vents into the inside of the door, in back of the front colored metal panel. This is also where the PC board and push button panel is located. The humidity from the vent probably is the cause of the failure. To the landfill it goes. If Amana (Whirlpool) would make the replacement parts less expensive I might remain a customer. I will be looking for something that lasts a bit longer and it will not be Whirlpool or Amana.

We bought this unit about 2 yrs ago. Have had trouble with it on and off. Turns out the unit has consistent problems with sensitive circuitry quitting the cycles midway. We run Normal mode, usually no drying. Without any warning, the rinse cycle FAILS about 50% of the time, the tub at bottom has 1" H water puddle, and the dishes end up spotted and murky. We live in the house while using it, no kids, no renters or visitor abuse. We check and clean the filter at the bottom frequently and when this happens. Just a few hairs and a little lint is all that shows up, so it's not clogged with food or anything else. Amana phone service says to book a tech cause it's out of warranty. SORRY we'd rather switch to a better brand!

I am so happy with this dishwasher. I didn't want anything with a lot of bells and whistles and I don't need anything to scrub my dishes for me, but I did want a good, basic dishwasher that would clean and dry the dishes. This one delivers. They don't make dishwashers like they used to but this one is very close.

Purchased in Oct 2014 and used it sparingly during the year and three months we had it - today it flooded my kitchen floor and basement. After determining it wasn't a burst pipe, I pulled the dishwasher out and one of the water inlet valves underneath was broken. A service call from Amana would have cost $109, plus costs for any parts, plus any additional labor charges. For that, I'm better off buying a new one. Regret purchasing this dishwasher. Had I not been home to turn the main water valve off, it could have caused serious water damage in my home.

I wonder if it is because I wanted to install the unit by myself. The package sent to me missed a pre-cut insulation pad and the bag of parts was cut open when delivered. I only found out after I opened the box. I contacted the local store and exchanging the item would take a week, which I can not wait. I tried to contact the HQ and the phone wait time is 15 minutes... I decided to DIY and asked for a discount return but was refused. Never buy anything again.
