while the sound quality is beautiful and the setup is easy, it does not connect to the phone half the time when I start my car. the connection is not successful after half an hour or sometimes never. connects when it wants

Hi EGray01, I am sorry to see the experience you are having so far. In many cases, connectivity issues can be resolved with a reset of the device.
Press the Mute button and then hold down the Action button for 15 seconds until Alexa says that your device is resetting.
Wait for the light bar to pulse orange and then complete setup again.
Unpair or Forget your Echo Auto from your phone's Bluetooth settings.
Open your mobile device's Bluetooth settings.
Select your Echo Auto and Unpair (Android) or Forget Device (iOS).
Remove your Echo Auto in the Alexa App.
Open the Alexa app.
Select Devices .
If your Echo Auto is listed, select it and Forget Device.
If these steps do not help and you are still experiencing issues, you can reach out to Amazon Customer Support 24/7 at 1-888-280-4331. Thank you for your feedback. I hope this information is useful.

Hello MCSHIV! I thank you for taking time to provide a quick snapshot of your experience with your Echo Auto. It should not be disconnecting on you frequently like you are experiencing. You can try Deregistering it from your Alexa smartphone app and going through the set up process again. You can do this by first going to Devices, select your Echo Auto, tap Settings (the gear icon in the top corner), then scroll down to Registered To and tap Deregister. Once that is done, you can factory reset it by tapping and holding the Mute button and Volume Down (-) for 30 seconds. It will begin to blink and then you can follow the instructions in your Alexa app to set it up again. If that doesn't work, then I would recommend reaching out to Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 for further troubleshooting. I hope we are able to get you back to enjoying your Echo Auto and that you have a tremendous day!
