I own several generations of the Echo Dot already and thought I would give the Echo Flex a try. The sound isn't as good as the Dot but it's perfect to plug into a bathroom A/C outlet to listen to news and music. The USB port is convenient to charge your phone.

It's not a speaker meant for music, just for Alexa to speak to you, but I knew that going in. I use it for a little music or Audible in a small bathroom and added the clock attachment to get things off of the counterspace.

I use this little echo in the bathroom while I’m getting ready in the morning. The sound isn’t the greatest but is perfect for a bathroom or garage where I’ve used it when cleaning up my cars. I like that it’s portable and no cord. I highly recommend it

These are great!!! Connected fast and easy set up. Have not had an issue with them so far!!! I was told by a friend that it doesn't play music...but it does! Not the best quality as the gen3 Dots, but good in a "naptime" pinch!

I bought one for each of multiple rooms. Love these. Note that the sound isn't great other than for the intercom functionality and asking Alexa questions. Hook it up to a Bluetooth or aux speaker if you want to listen to music.

The smaller size came as a pleasant surprise as it was easy to find an outlet for it. Sound quality is as many people say - not as good as a full sized Echo device but decent enough for Alexa and some casual music playing.

This echo Flex is a awesome, cheap addition if you use Alexa for lights, cameras and August Lock. You can also play on multiple echo flex devices if you use the 3.5mm input jack instead of the blue tooth speaker option.

The Echo Flex is really easy to use; just plug it in, no charger and cord needed. Bonus charging port for other usb device. Picks up commands well and responses are clear.

If your space is extremely limited then the Echo Flex might serve a purpose. Alexa functionality plugged directly into an outlet means no need for counter or shelf space. But if you're planning to use this speaker for streaming music you'll want to pair it with a REAL speaker. Sound quality of the Echo Flex alone is barely tolerable, especially when compared to an Echo or Echo Dot. The Echo Flex can be easily paired with an external speaker through Bluetooth or AUX cable. If you're only wanting to add Alexa capability this will do the job. But if you're wanting a good sounding speaker better opt for an Echo or Echo Dot.

Not as loud or as nice sounding as the Echo Dot I also bought, but for the price it's great to add to other rooms where speaker quality isn't as important! I mainly use it for lights, plugs, and switch controls.

I've bought a few of these so far. One is in a bedroom with the add on nightlight. I have things scheduled so I hear the weather first thing in the morning, etc. It works great for that, but keep in mind, it's NOT loud. I would not suggest this in a room that needs much volume though UNLESS you connect it to an amplifier. I have another one of these in the garage connected to an amplifier using the 1/8" output jack to get good volume. I like that it is plugged into the wall and out of the way for this area. The 3rd one is in my office and doesn't see much use yet.

I have an entire home built for Alexa. However there are some dead spots where Alexa cannot hear my requests. While Dots are cheap enough, they are larger for the areas I would need them for so for the last year or so I went without. In comes the Flex... it’s perfect. This great little device goes perfectly in hallways, walk in closets and small areas where one doesn’t need a rather loud speaker for music but for simple requests such as home automation requests, etc. I have paired these with the clip on night light and it works wonderfully in the main hallway of my home. As mentioned above, the speaker is rather unimpressive but that is to be expected as this device isn’t meant for that. It’s an extra “leg up” for voice requests where you need it most.

Inexpensive and compact. It plugs into a wall outlet and takes up little room. I use it to issue Alexa commands, have it act as a timer etc. not designed to play music since it has a very small speaker.

I have Alexa devices in almost every room but running cords for an echo in my tiny bathroom with only one outlet was tricky. This unit works well for asking questions or adding items to a list. Understandably the audio quality is lacking in terms of playing music. One of my main goals was being able to call someone if I fell while in the bathroom and it did work well for that.

I bought these thinking they would be amazing for the bathroom so we could listen to music, news, stories .. in the shower or tub. But the speakers are not great - so you can't hear it over the sound of the shower running. However, we often use it to check the time and weather as we get out of the shower - so it is useful. Once we moved though, it has been less useful - as the new place doesn't have electrical outlets in the shower room (but by the jack/jill sinks outside) .. and no matter where you go in this apartment, you can hear all of the devices. However, we love these for setting alarms, getting weather, and keeping time.

Of course it does not look as fancy or sound ad good as other echo products, but it is is compact, does not need external transformer and suits its purpose well for an inexpensive product.

This Echo Flex is a real sleeper that you should grab. Though the built in speaker is best used for alarm clock or weather inquiries the device also will serve as a phone charger small enough to pack with your travel items. At home I have it connected to a ten year old pair of Boston Acoustic computer speakers and the steep sound is piped from the 1/8 inch jack to those speakers that are good sounding. If you get a 1/8 inch cord to two rca plugs you can get concert streaming sound from your legacy sound system. And if you have a high end Bluetooth speaker you cab easily link to it and have a BT device that surpasses any Alexa unit. I just love it! You will too.

Excellent price on sale. Easy to set up. Speaker a bit anemic but listens well even with less mics. Inter-acts well with other Echos. Connecting Bluetooth speaker makes up for weak internal one.

Great little device for using Alexa for voice commands only. Not for listening to music etc. For $10 it was a great deal to enable Alexa commands in more places in my home.

Like others have reviewed, the sound/Alexa's voice doesn't sound as good as an ego dot, but the convenience is worth it. It was super simple to set up and it just works like it should.
