This tablet includes a perfect case for kids and is very durable. Price is great as well. However specs aren't that great, it can be pretty slow and some stuff is poorly setup. It has room for improvement but is probably one of the best kids tablets and the best value so its hard to complain. If I was in the market again I would definitely look at the Amazon tablets again but probably try a newer model.

Got this for my daughter to use while taking long car rides. It’s perfect for her since she’s so young, but as an adult, I can tell you the speeds are very slow. Lots of lag between changing apps and the charge doesn’t hold as well as I had hoped. While the case helps prevent damage, we should have purchased a screen protector as well because there is nothing preventing damage/scratches to the screen.

Okay let's start with the good. The best thing about this tablet is the free year of Amazons kid focused profile called "amazon freetime". Freetime provides endless amounts of kid friendly content with full parental control of screen time. Second is Amazons warranty. If this thing breaks they will replace it no questions asked. Everything else is exactly what you would expect from a $99 tablet. Now the bad. The battery life and charging time is atrocious. Charge time is around 4 hours and lasts for 8 hours on standby and about 3 or 4 hours of heavy road trip usage. It runs slow which is to be expected from a bargain tablet but it hangs up constantly on a 500mbps wifi connection. All in all it's a decent tablet for what it is and my kid enjoys it so that’s all that matters to me.

Got two in a package deal (we have twins, so I did a pink and a blue)... definitely worth it, if only to save them from grabbing our iPads when we're not looking!!

The tablet cover comes with it which is a bonus o my thing is that it’s slow even with high speed wifi and it dies very quickly also theirs not a lot of storage. Other then that the apps are great for kids keeping then educated or keeping your kid occupied for busy moms.

I traded in an older kids edition fire tablet for this one as after a little over 2 yrs of use the old was experiencing issues. This new one is much fast than our old one, but still slower than most modern adult tablets. Like the addition of the foot stand. Battery life is just okay. Amazon really likes to bury specific Parental controls many clicks into the settings.

Amazing for little kids! My kids are now 4 and 6.. and I was always an apple user.. but when I began to collect a stack of broken iPads that cost just as much to fix or more! Especially if you buy refurbished... but my daughter was 3 last year for Christmas. So I bought it. One of The best things I could have ever done. So mad at myself for not doing it sooner.. Meanwhile my son I bought the iPad mini4 recently, and he got frustrated and smashed It!!! That’s it for me. Plus it comes pre-loaded with hundreds of activities, and it keeps my daughter interested Bc it’s a game to her.. not just homework, but also let’s not forget the 2 YEAR WARRANTY!!! For drops, accidents.. the ONLY con I would say is it is a little slower than I pad. Maybe with 5g launched tneyll make a compatible tables that takes away that lag in between selection. Overall 5/5 in my book!

My son loves it. It has a lot of games and other apps already on it. I recommend it. Bought for Christmas gift. He loves takiñg pictures, and playing the games or watching movies. He is 7 yrs old. It is a little slower to load up, probably because he is forever loading games and pictures on it.

Only thing i dislike is there is no explanation of the game before you download it. You just click the game, or show whatever it is(doesn't explain fully in the store) and it starts to download. Might just be user error. After looking at the specs i also thought the device would be a little faster being a newer device however it is what i expected for a kids tablet. Not the fastest. Overall i enjoy the device because my son does. It keeps him occupied while I'm cooking for him and i or doing laundry. One hard part that i didn't think about before the purchase is getting him off of it. And minimize his time on it. I only give it to him on weekends for an hour or two at a time however that's what he wants to do all the time now.

This is the second one that I have purchased. As I said earlier, good product for children, but the processor is slow. Definitely invest in more memory, as 16 gig is not enough. I would buy another one.

We love that there are so many safety parental controls on this product. However we have a pink version of this that runs so much faster than this one. But over all a good beginner tablet for a child.

The kids love them. They do load a little slow compared to the apple tablets but you can't beat the price!

Great for my son. I added a kids profile and put Disney+ on it and he loves it. Only critique is that it is kinda slow.

Adults are just kids in bigger pants. I understand this tablet was made for kids and was never expecting it to be high quality. However, it is too slow. If an adult don't even have the patience with this tablet, why would you expect kids to have patience with it? But if you want something cheap just to distract your you kids, then this tablet is for you cause it barely does the job.

We got this when our daughter was one and decided we wouldn’t give it to her until she was at least 3. We just opened it for the first time and it’s so slow and lags so much that she can barley play any games. But it’s our faults for waiting two years to open it because now we can’t do anything.

Brought this for my daughter. Works pretty good, but processor seems slow. Internal memory is definitely not sufficient, so I recommend buying a large capacity memory card, but I believe the maximum I believe you can use is 512gig. The one thing I don't like is that children can still turn off wifi or turn on airplane mode when they are on Amazon Kids. That should not be possible.

Slow processor, limited storage. Storage easily expandable. decent for kids but expensive for what it is.
