Nice and big to watch videos. It's ok for books but I use a smaller Kindle for the books.

Over all a decent tablet. Wish Amazon would package it with the Google Play Store. Had to download extra software to play android apps.

This Kindle is like a tablet- it's larger screen and graphics are very impressive. Battery life longer than its predassesor.

I purchased the Fire HD 10 and found the interface just ok to use. After only 4 days we took it with us on vacation. While in a protective case, and in my carry on bag, it was somehow too much for this tablet which stopped functioning and the screen when crazy. No longer functional, we had no tablet on vacation. In fairness, we never really got to use it to review the product fully. However since the product was so fragile we were not wanting it anymore. (YES we have a lot of experience in handling electronics and NO we did not mishandle the Fire in any way). Upon our return Best Buy gladly took it back as we had also purchased the protection plus plan. We took the store credit and bought the Apple iPad AIr 2. Yes it was a LOT more money but we feel more confident in the product. That was just the right decision for us. Your mileage may vary!

Had the 8.9 fire and replaced with the 10. Great for reading but battery life is shorter.

I like the tablet but I want to make sure electronic manufacturers know if they force advertising into the products I am not going to buy the products. The tablet has a power saving feature that shuts down the display after a period of time. You can not turn this feature off. When you go to resume the tablet shows a full screen advertisement that you must swipe up to remove. It also will display an ad on your home screen. For this reason I am returning the tablet.

Wife has the smaller kindle which she uses every day but the bigger screen is easier to use.

My samsung died after a year and a half decided to try the fire. Good tablet for rhe price

We began with the first edition of Kindles. After a lot of use, the first Kindle died. We replaced our original with an early Kindle Fire which seemed to last forever, but it began to show its age. I purchased the new Kindle and we were immediately impressed by the display. Then I discovered the new Kindle was more of a computer than a Kindle. The wife uses it for just about everything.
