I was thoroughly disappointed with the Kindle, the battery life was terrible, it took a while for programs to load. I returned the Kindle and replaced it with a Samsung S2 9.7" tablet.

I upgraded and the changes were ok. Lighter. Different apps. Overall the size change wasn't significant for the length

The touch screen would not work right out of the box. Could not even set it up or register. I returned it to store the next day

I purchased the Kindle Fire for my wife based on not-so-subtle hints I'd received. Based on her reaction and the amount of time she spends with it, it was wise that I was paying attention... On the few occasions I've been able to check it out I have to say I'm impressed. The display is great, and it's speed is far more than adequate. It suits her needs perfectly (she's an avid reader and game player), and when she's happy, I'm totally unhassled!

i am a bit disappointed with this .. the touch screen could be better that's for sure - i saw a few reviews that said that but i didnt think it would be that bad ... i was wrong .. you really gotta PRESS hard ..and it takes FOREVER to charge to 100% !! and there are things pre-installed taking up room and i cant uninstall them .. that annoys me ... and im not happy that i cant install from google play store so easily - i have things i'd like to install and amazon stops it from doing so ... they should all be the same .. its ridiculous i get it that they are a competitor but things that should work arent ! But its OK i have another regular tablet and a Nook as well .. just annoying for the price of this thing

This is a nice tablet for reading, shopping, watching Netflix , videos. Sometimes you have to wait a couple of seconds for something to load , no big deal. It will be nice to bring this on vacation.

Love the size and resolution, batt not as long lasting as advertized

I bought this as a gift and she loves it. It is her 3rd and she says they just keep getting better.

because it makes buying book easy. It takes me right to the store. No more going to Google, typing in address for Kindle books. Just on touch and in the store. I also like the 10" screen and rectangular shape.

Although at #150 they were currently out of stock for the model I wanted; Fire HD 10 - 10.1 Tablet 32GB - Black. Sales associate - Alyssa M. was quite professional and helpful in locating one at another store and even cheerfully demonstrated where the memory card "chip" was and ease of access. Just wished I had picked up extra memory at time of purchase, seeing as I already mounted my tablet into the Keyboard Case for Amazon Fire HD 10 Tablet, no big. Just hope the tablet comes out easier that it went in.
