This is my my first tablet. Bought it mostly for reading but now use it for email and to search the web. It is kind of small for a reader but after you get use to it and adjust the font it works great. good battery life.

Small enough to keep in my pocket and big enough to read emails. I can use to keep the kids occupied while out with a favoite Kindle edition book and stay up to date with personal emails and my own video games/books.

Took this little guy home opened the box and fell in love with the size I always thought tablets were getting to big. Second the processor speed is amazing downloading apps is lighting fast. The camera is also pretty good for the price of this thing. I love it.

its great I love it works as well as my ipad plays music at my work that my ipad cant pick up cant figure that one out put it does I will buy the bigger one next sounds good looks good and the picture is great

We find balancing our kids' desires for "screen time" with our values for outdoor play and human interaction a challenge. The Kindle Fire has been a great purchase. It allows for the gaming and other features the kids want, while also allowing us as parents to set content and time limits - and to set different limits on school days than on weekends. That's HUGE for us. Just today, my daughter used up her gaming time and asked for more. She was happy to read a chapter of a book - on her kindle - for the privilege of an equal amount of gaming afterwards. The best part? The whole series of events was HER idea, and she enjoyed the book enough that she gave the whole family a spontaneous oral report :-) Oh yes, we LIKE the Kindle.

Wife has the old gen kindle. Really liked to be able to go straight to amazon and shop for ebooks. This new one with two cameras is night and day from the old one. Pictures are clearer and being able to Skype using front facing camera a total plus. Very happy so far

This was purchased as a gift for a 10 year old and he absolutely loves it. Especially the free month of Prime. It fits perfectly in his tiny little hands. He said it feels like an XL cell phone. Imagine his awe shen he realized he could make phone calls from it.

Perfect size for any age. The attached Cobalt case is very durable and makes it easily identifiable. Great for kids and adults because it is a tablet that may be used for reading, email, watching movies and playing games instead of just a portable game system.

This is perfect to mount camera on table top or shelf and takes no room up in my bag. Bends into many forms but will only hold a light weight camera, but that is to be expected considering its size

I bought this for my 9 year old son and he loves it. Its nice because he reads more now that he has it and he can always download free books so he isn't stuck reading the same books all the time.

I basically bought this to take advantage of the Amazon ecosystem. As a Prime subscriber there are a lot of advantages to having an Amazon device. I use it pretty much exclusively as a Kindle device and it works very well. Battery life is very good.

I got this tablet for my daughter for Christmas. She is forever on her iPhone so this would be a bigger screen. It is a step up from the Nabi Tablet she had but still very easy to use. I got a case to go with it. It is very nice and I was impressed.

The size is just right for a kid or for a person who does not want or need a larger screen. As some tablet/phones are almost as big, but a kid may not need phone service. Also, the cost is favorable given the functionality that a Kindle provides.

This is my 2nd touch tablet, the first being a 7in generic model, tho' each family member owns the basic Kindle e-reader. The graphics on the Fire HD 6 are outstanding. The touch screen responds well with or without stylus and very easy to use. It's small enough to fit into my purse, but the graphics are so crisp, the screen view is perfect. LOVE IT! the only thing that keeps it from 5 star status is the inability to add previous purchased apps from google play w/o breaking the warranty. Hadn't had old tablet that long and don't like having to repurchase same apps or settling for 'similiar' amazon app. But, tablet itself is fabulous!

My 3 year old grandson called me said he wanted a notebook that ha a camera. He specified blue, When asked what he would do with it he said write my abcs and read. play games. Bought the tablet and put a blue cover on it. and he was very happy.

Kindle 6 is easy to use and get up and running. My kids love it for reading, games and Netflix. Also, love the fact they are hard to break.

This tablet is what I would consider an "entry level tablet". With that said, this is a great value for the price while allowing one to access thousands of books, the internet, etc. This tablet even has a front camera plus the regular camera so you can Skype and video chat.

Bought this for my 2 girls for Christmas. They love the apps, games and books they can use on the tablet. It's better than a kids tablet and great for the price. My kids are 6 & 8. Got it on sale on Black Friday and they still play with them daily; they feel like big kids.

It is the perfect size between a smartphone and tablet. The screen is bright and super clear. With the Amazon Prime - everything is affordable and has a ton of things to use: music, apps and videos. I would recommend this table to anyone.

I bought it as a gift for someone with limited knowledge of computerized technology. They were able to set-up and start the process with no problems. The screen size is perfect and they use it daily!
