I purchased this Kindle Fire Tablet to replace my mother-in-laws older Amazon Kindle that has a broken charging jack that was flaky at best. After a few hiccups learning to use the newer software she was well satisfied with the new tablet.

I do a lot of reading and this is so handy to take with me when I go to the Drs and anyplace I have to wait. Like the fact that I can talk to my people and see them at the same time.

Great tablet for the kids. Parent and kid friendly. Easy to use. We use it for learning and fun!

This is my second Kindle Fire HD 7. Last years Kindle Fire was thinner,heavier and more responsive to touch. It also seemed faster. Got the 7 again this year because I just use it to play games really. Its thicker,lighter and just looks a little cheap compared to last years model. I also have had problems with having to start it up,shut down and start it up again before it will work. As a footnote, the salesman told me to come home and enter numbers from my receipt and I would get points. That didn't happen. I was told it should have been redeemed in store. I returned Kindle and the tech guy told me to take it home and if it continued with the problem bring it back.After you return with it twice they will maybe switch it out for you. All he did was reset it to factory settings. I'm smart enough I tried that. Maybe next trip they'll give me one I feels works okay. I would buy one again. They are great for just playing games or reading or watching videos. Just make sure you get one that works properly.

We love our kindle! It is fast, light weight and pretty easy to use. The kids like the games and smaller size but it is a little harder for them to navigate than iPad. I like the parental control option and user profiles too. I think the battery life is a little less than iPad, but the price is so great. I'm enjoying how easy it is to download books even from my library! Very cool! If you need a small, cheap tablet that the whole family can use and is light and portable, this is perfect.

I bought this on sale a few weeks ago when it was marked down to only $80. For the price point, this is a pretty great tablet. I've got an iPad and an HP Stream 7 as other tablets, and the Fire HD 7 stacks up well, all things considered. Compared the the HP Stream 7, which I also bought for about $80, this blows that out of the water. Now, it doesn't compare that well to an iPad in performance and utility, but you're also talking a completely different ball game at a much higher price point for the iPad. Overall, the Fire HD 7 has a quality screen with great resolution, is pretty light, and feels pretty nice in your hands. It can get a bit laggy at times, but for the most part for basic web browsing and running apps it's snappy enough. Again, at the price, you just can't beat it.

I got one from my daughter for my Christmas gift and really enjoy it so when my mother's old Nook HD stopped charging I never even considered anything but the kindle for her. It's so much lighter than the nook was, and the books are way less expensive. It's fast and has every app we needed and more....for free!! Mom loves her new not so heavy tablet. Buying from Best Buy is the only way I'd even think of going. The first one we bought had a defective power button (which can happen with any electronic device) and Best Buy exchanged it, no questions or haggling just got us a new one. The new one of course is working great!!

When my Kindle Fire 2nd generation stopped accepting a charge exactly 2 years after I got it, I replaced it with the Kindle Fire 7 HD. The screen is slightly larger which is easier on the older eyes. It also has a camera but I don't use it since I have it in a case and would be hard to use. I don't like that the power button and the USB charge port was put at the top and is in the way of the straps that hold it into the cases. It is inconvenient for the charge cord to fit in and the straps have to be pushed out of the way. It is this way for all the cases that are made for this model. The Kindle Fire 7 HD does not have a light indicating when it is charging and when it is charged up. I am hoping that the Kindle Fire 7 HD will last longer than my previous kindle.

This was a replacement for the first Kindle Fire which I was happy with;however, I broke the screen. This Kindle is much faster and easier to use and I really like it. My only complaint is that there is no visible light when it is finished charging--a minor detail! The price was fantastic and I find that I use for more than just reading. No kids get to use this one!

My wife loved her HD7. It is very easy to use and she uses it for online games and it never slows down during gaming. We have had less expensive tablets that were the same size and there is a better picture and the battery lasts longer. It comes with free Amazon Prime free for thirty days.

Love my Amazon - Fire HD - 7". Compact enough to carry in my purse and lightweight enough not to weigh it down. Easy to use, so far no problems. I recommend this is you are wanting it for reading.

Easy to set up and easy to download apps and use them. The battery life is great as well. I bought it to replace my old I-Pad and the price is great for what you get. Highly recommended!

I love the Fire! Great for downloading and reading books. It is easy on the eyes and the price is great. Amazon's kindle library is also very extensive and the books are much cheaper than Barnes & Noble's Nook. If you are looking to do tons of heavy Internet stuff, look elsewhere. This is a fun little e-reader that allows you to do some light internet surfing and email. I just love reading books on it and don't really need it for much more since I tend to rely on my iPhone 6 plus for emails, internet, music, games and more. I love the size of the Fire and the price is great!

I bought this as a gift for my mom who is not tech savvy at all. She loves it. It was easy for her to set up and use (without calling me all the time), she likes that books and apps are all right there and available to her. Her biggest complaint is that some of the apps are not available to her in the Amazon app store. I have an original Fire that I love and just haven't upgraded to a newer one yet and hers is making me want a new one! PROS: Great gift, easy to use, durable, speedy processor CONS: limited apps

My daughter as well us, love this Kindle, we have had it for almost a year.. It is very light and compact and the customer service at Amazon are great, when or if you need to understand something, or help with your account. You definitely would want to purchase the Insignia Case, it fits Most 7" Tablets, we found it in purple, which is our daughters favorite color.. We purchased 2 actually, the case really saved the life of the Kindle..

The Kindle Fire is a great value in tablets. It's rock solid stable; the battery lasts a week or more with normal usage; it's well integrated with the Amazon ecosystem; and fulfills productivity needs like email, calendar, and web surfing. All Amazon products are lacking in terms of apps when compared with iOS and Android devices, but for most people, you can find what you need or a similar app. Strongly recommend.

Always like the kindle ... The screen is a lot better that the previous and I think it is a lot fast than the prev generation of kindle ... Is compact easy to take where ever I go .. I love it

Very easy to use and is very fast. I have not had any problems so far. I would say it is a very good deal for only $99.
