The picture for the kindle is amazing very high definition, better then the picture on my tv! Love watching movies and playing games on it..

I purchased the Fire HD as a gift. The look of surprise on the face of the young man who received the gift was priceless. He is enjoying it to the fullest. It is everything that it is advertised to be. Great quality for the price.

Have the 1st generation too. The HD7 is much faster and easier to set up. Really like the 'touch screen'. Really like my new Kindle HD7!

I bought this for my 6 year old son and he loves it. There are good parental control options and so many free apps available to help him learn. I had this shipped to my home and it arrived much earlier than expected!

I really enjoyed both cameras and it is very easy to use.

I like my Kindle Fire HD. Only thing is that it doesn't work with VUDU movies. Not even if you log from the Silk Browser. Sometimes when you're playing games, it tends to stall for a moment. This is just for the basics really.

I really do like my kindle. I have different applications with Amazon and having a kindle just make sense. Also, my daughter having one allows me to have her profile on mine and set up her Freetime from my device.

Bought as a gift. Good for the price and who we bought it for. My wife loves her larger screen version of this product. We would suggest buying the larger screen if you can, but it is no different in performance.

In addition to my original Kindle, I purchased the Fire 7 while on sale. Perfect addition. I can surf the web, go back to reading my book and vice versa. Glare, yeah, but you can definitely work around it.

I love my kindle, had a kindle HD x, but it stopped charging and Best Buy exchange it out with the 7 HD. Due the warranty that I brought the exchange didn't cost me anything. Love reading on the kindle, don't have to go to the library. I can download books from the library

Needed an inexpensive tablet for my grandson with enough memory to play new games! Manager willing to look up game needs to make sure the Kindle would work! It does, it didn't break the bank, and I'm a hero!

Purchased for my 7 yr old son. The kids tablets are not compatible with certain products and this does everything he needs, and plenty more. Also has settings that allow me to restrict time and applications

I love the kindle Fire hd. The clarity of the screen is great. Would like it better if it was easier to read on this device outside in the sun; the glare is disappointing.

Expected this to be a great gift and it is. One thing to make sure of - get the right case. There are a lot of cases that are for the OLD Fire 7" that do not work for this. Make sure they say for the new 7" tablet.
