I loved my first generation Kindle Fire and was reluctant to upgrade but am very glad I did. There are some things that I liked better with the old device, the power button is small and harder to push and I miss the indicator light while charging but I am getting used to these differences.

Compact yet powerful. Good for games, browsing, streaming audio and video. Overall a nice gadget!

I really love this reader. It is great to search online and buy your book from your couch and then read it from the comfort of your pajamas.

Bought this to help with my calendar & keeping appointments. Only thing I do not lke is no app for Square Reader. However, I certainly use a lot of other apps to keep me on track in business.

I bought this for my fiancée as a Christmas gift. She has used it everyday since. It works flawlessly. This was a great gift idea.

This is pretty awesome. The only downfall was already known when I bought it. Wish the full Google Play store was accessible. If you have no ties to Google or Itunes, then all systems go.

Works well. I have the full size kindle fire as well and both work perfectly, no issues. So well I gave one to my sister and my mom.

I can read books ,email, surf the net, play games and it is so simple to use. Im sorry i waited so long to try the kindle fire hd.

If you are on the Amazon ecosystem this tablet is a good start, I paid $80 on a daily sale at Best Buy, regular price is $140 and for that price probably you could get a better tablet.

My son had a Kindle Fire first gen, and this is a definite upgrade. NO lag at all and plays all the modern games without jitter.
