After several years of limiting the kids' screen time by only having two household kindles (mom's and dad's), we decided to buy this one to be a "family kindle" shared by a 6 and 2 year old. It is a good product -- the 6 year old mostly uses it to read books, watch movies, and play games. I have the wifi turned off so only I can download content to it and because it is designated for the kids, everything on it is appropriate for them (adult books and shows are only on the adutls' kindles). The 2 year old sometimes watches tv shows on it during long car rides. We already had Amazon Prime and linked it to the account (with Dad's kindle) and so nearly everything we have downloaded for the kids was free.

I like the camera it works well. And is located in just the right spot.Also the battery holds a charge for a long time excellent product.

This is one of three Kindles in our house we love it. The screen is beautiful and responsive and the features/price ratio was great!

I like the Kindle fire, it's easy to navigate and can do many things other than reading books. Full web service along with email. I love sitting on the couch and getting instant downloads for books and magazines. Only negative is that my Fire HD6 quit working after about a year. It just stopped! I asked a computer person about this at the store where I purchased it and she acknowledged that some Fire HD's do just that - they stop working and basically it's the "luck of the draw". I did buy a HD7 hoping lightning won't strike twice.

Love it!! Got it for my 4 year old and she had it all figured out in a day!! The screen is the perfect size and it's so easy to set up.

truly is the best Amazon fire so far. Amazon just keeps making better better tablets. Screen is excellent and battery life is great.

The HD Kindle 7 is a wonderful tablet that is easy to use! You can use it for playing games, reading books, surfing the net, etc.

I love this tablet!! Excellent to play games watch movies and read books and best of all keeps kids occupied on long car rides.

I picked this up for my Mom for Mother's Day. This is her first tablet and she loves it! Easy to use, Perfect size, and HD!

I purchased this tablet because my momhad one and I loved hers. I figured since we would be driving to Florida, I could use something to occupy myself. Tablet itself is very sturdy and has great graphics. The only complaint I have is there isn't enough room on it, which is my fault. I thought 8GB would be enough. Thats only enough for two movies to be downloaded. When its reached maximum capacity, it runs a little slower. Other than that, it's a good tablet. I would buy one again, just more GB.

It's great for games and to read my kindle books along with the regular book as I listen to the it and follow along

Bought the kindle for my dad for father's day. He wanted something he could read his magazines on and something "to search the internets." He liked using my mom's Nook but we wanted each to have different eReaders. Volume is loud enough my dad (hard of hearing) can use with ease and plugs in headphones when next to my mom. Functions and buttons are easy to use as he had arthritis and isn't light on the hands. Highly recommend for 1st time tablet buyers kids to adult.

Being an avid reader, I was excited to get my Kindle Fire tablet. I use it all the time, for so many more things than just bedtime reading. I download books for my grand daughter and that has helped improve her reading abilities. I'm still learning what it's capable of, but so far, it's so much more than I expected! I bought one for my partner, for Christmas. He loves it too!

Much easier to use more functions lighter in weight more useage minutes

I got this item for my mother who has one of the super old models. She was happy with it, but not. Some things changed on her and was hard for her to adjust. Mind you she is not tech savvy at all ! Overall runs great got the 1 year ADH because we have dogs who like to jump and make things wall to the floor.

I bought this for my 3 year old so he could access ABC mouse and Netflix and I could avoid him using my Amazon Fire HDX 8.9in tablet continuously. For his purposes the tablet works pretty well, my only complaints are that the power button is much harder to use than on my HDX and it gets a lot of ads whenever you turn the screen back on. I'm not sure if there is a way to turn that off. The parental controls work nicely. Overall, I think it's a good product for the price.

My new Kindle Fire meets my needs as it allows me to read despite my failing vision. It also takes decent pictures that are easy to email. My only drawback is the reflections on the screen make rading in sunlight difficult and makes taking pictures under many conditions very difficult as one can't see the image one is capturing on the screen.

I would recommend this kindle fire it's the best great picture fast and ect... My kids love it.

This is my third Kindle and the best of the lot. Faster and lighter. Great all around product.
