A word about the Special Offers: not only do you save on the initial cost of the device, but by redeeming the Special Offers that interest you, it's easy to recoup the cost in total. As long as you understand that it's not an iPad (nothing is), the Fire HD is certainly worthwhile.

For the price point, you cannot find a tablet that gazes this one. I personally have last years HDX and decided to pick up two of these for family members. So far they have absolutely loved their tablets. I got to play along with the device prior to giving the device to my wife's grandmother and mother. I set up their devices and neither of them have ever asked me a question about it (except maybe a few in beginning). All in all I was happy with the performance and battery. I highly rate this product.
