Guys never buy this for more than $70 as of 17-Sep-2015 . no choice of apps.... not flexible by any chance... UI is horrile... cannot even compare to android... (let alone mac OS) 2 stars just for the build quality even though cheap... it is strong... but thats not the only thing I expect from a tablet...

I purchased the new kindle 7 HD because Best buy had a trade in program that was too good to pass up.

Love my kindle fire so much I gave ithis obe as a gift.

It works well, has excellent storage capacity, and doesn't slow down when switching between apps

Took a while to get the tablet but it was worth the wait. It is a Christmas present for my granddaughter and I know she will love it. I like that it has settings for her age group and a time limit that can be set. I have all ready downloaded 5 or 6 educational games and books. I am thinking I might have to get her mom one now.

The Kindle Fire HD7 is very user friendly. Love it!

my last one failed after 9 months so I need to give this some time. Working ok so far. I will say the procedure to exchange my old one was a night mare and not consumer friendly, but after many trips and hours I did get it exchanged.

Bought as a replacement for the original Fire I had, this version seems to be filled with buggy software. About 70% of the time when I swipe to clear the screen saver (which is now a series of ads instead of the choice of pictures I had on the previous) I just get a black screen. Turning it off and then on sometimes resets this. Other times I will lose the font, spacing, bookmark, etc. tools from the top right portion of the screen. It will still display the borders but no actual tool icons to click. And other times it does not respond to any choices, they flash grey as if the button was hit but it sits there and does nothing. I will not be purchasing another one of the Fire tablets until I get a chance to test it for myself.

I am not as familiar with the android format so this 2nd fire tablet is giving me more of a workout than my original . that said I am not as comfortable and am not having a smooth transition, though I am not trying to use it for everything in place of my pc. sorry if my rant doesn't go well with those who are savvy with these devices but the 2nd fire tablet is NOT as user friendly as the first one was.

Love the Kindle Fire, this is my third one. Seem to only have a two year life.

This device is Great for reading books, but not much else. I am an android fan and was surprised by the incompatibility of this device. None of my favorite apps worked on it, and those that did were just not the same for me. Amazon really needs to spend more time on their app development. Was very reasonably priced though.
