It has the SAME USB port charging issues as all the other Kindle's! Purchased to replace my old Kindle Fire that this issue occurred... and you would THINK Amazon would actually FIX the issue!?! (Ya THINK!?!) DO NOT BUY!!! Piece of junk!

It only took me less than half an hour from ordering online to picking up in store, the guy helped me was nice too. This tablet is a bit chunky but it fits my hands very well. The screen is awesome for the price. You can't go wrong with the FireOS4 because you have most android apps perfectly run on it. Reading on this tablet was my first intention when I decided to buy this, but now I've found it great for some games too. Anyway, this is a great tablet for the price.

I wanted a tablet and an ereader, but had limited funds. This ended up being a fabulous ereader, but a clunky Web surfer. This review is for the previout model, so I have left out problems related to a dual core processor. I also sell tablets for a living and have been an Amazon Prime member for several years. PROS: Handy and light weight for reading Great continuity with Amazon prime Hassle free mp3 player Great battery life. Sturdy Apps from the store almost always worked well. The advertisements were not annoying and dished out free Amazon coins. Great customer support. Free cloud backup Good picture quality for watching videos. Cons: 7 inches is too small to surf the Web properly. Silk web browser is a little clunky. Not enough memory for apps, get a bigger size. Died after 1.5 years of heavy use.

I don’t like this product. It dies very fast. Then when I use it, the light hurts my eyes. I prefer the kindle paper white.

It is everything I need it to be and have wanted since they first came out. Instead of trying to do everything on a small phone, it's like being able to carry my PC around with me. Lots of nice features, good sound and nice camera, plus the great book selection, even free books.

We just purchased one for our daughter for her birthday. We didn't realize that with Amazon Prime you can only check out one book, so that's a little annoying. What's the real problem though is that the lock screen is all adds and the only way to get rid of them is to pay yet more money. As we bought this for our 9 yr old, it's more than likely going back because I refuse to pay to remove adds on my child's tablet. On top of the fact that they're there in the first place, one of the adds is gratuitous boob shot of an animated character from a game, really Amazon? Can't at least make them all pg? Nope. Another was an add for a credit card. This was all after we set up the child locks so that doesn't change it. Now we have to look for a new tablet and this one is more than likely going back to the store tomorrow.

I really love the Amazon Fire more than my iPad or other tablets. It is super easy to use, has lots of nice features and pairs well with my amazon prime account.
