Customer Ratings & Reviews

This Kindle replaced an older version, and is faster with an improved display. It is irritating though that each new product requires all new accessories - the case for example. Not only do older cases not fit, but there are so many unique sizes that it seems like this is just another way to sneak in the customer-unfriendly "planned obsolescence. It did not help that Best Buy had few cases to choose from - all pricey.

This is my second Fire tablet. I only use the Kindle app (an actual Kindle is too small for my liking). I don't check email or watch videos; it is strictly a "Kindle" to me. The screen is large and easy to read. I have never had a problem with either of my Fire tablets. Since I don't use it for other tablet-type activities, I am not sure how well videos and games work, but the Kindle app is top-notch.

This product is great to start with if its fornsomeone who drops and really bad with their electronics. It holds great with battery life, keeps adults and kids entertained as well as it being affordable as far as price def would recommend if youre on the fence about getting kids or significant other a tablet.

excellent easy to use great display and good battery life

This Tab is an outstanding device that balances performance, portability, and versatility. Its crisp display makes streaming and browsing a delight, while the responsive processor handles multitasking with ease. The long-lasting battery ensures uninterrupted usage throughout the day, and its sleek, lightweight design makes it perfect for on-the-go convenience. Whether you’re working, learning, or unwinding, this tablet is a reliable and user-friendly companion. Highly recommended!

Good size, colors vibrant, boots quickly. Amazon should dispense with the advertisements on bootup, this a vert irritating feature. Perhaps they could provide the ability to turn this irritating feature off.

Love my my fire tablet, easy to use. I had one for 14 years and couldn't get books on it anymore as was old. I read a lot!! Hope I win !!!

Great tablet I like the size of it. Perfect for reading and playing some games. Exactly what I wanted

Loving this new tablet’s long battery life and quick page-loading. Not in love with the added size and weight over my older Fire 7. The 7 was definitely more convenient to pack for travel and easier and less tiring to hold. But I needed the extra storage space and the updated programming (plus rumors are that the 7 will be discontinued), so the 8 it is. Hopefully I’ll get used to the size and weight before long.

We had originally bought the Amazon Fire Tablet years ago for our daughter when she was younger, but the kids version. As she is about to be 10 we decided to go ahead and purchase the regular Amazon Fire and she loves it! The graphics are nice. The cost of this tablet is also very reasonable! We purchased a separate memory card to expand the storage. This is a super nice feature available to be able to buy a more cost effective tablet, but if you need more room can purchase the memory card for more storage. So far haven't had any complaints! Good graphics and easy set up which makes it super nice!

I love this tablet. I bought it on discount with ads but ended up removing ads after the first month. From the compact size to the blue light for reading this is the tablet for every reader.

Very affordable price. User friendly. Very happy with my purchase

I bought this tablet for my elderly mother. It works great for her because it's lightweight and is easy-to-use. She loves it. Great price.

Was looking at Kindles with my wife when we found this gem for $65 which is about half price of the cheapest kindle we could find so we decided to get this instead. In all honesty she is very pleased with it. While the battery life is obviously less than the kindle, it is a much more capable device. Also she can of course still access her Kindle Unlimited on it so really she just ended up with a more capable device for less money. Very satisfied. I’m not going to dock them a star for this since she said it doesn’t bother her and we both got a laugh from it, but the Lock Screen on this device serves as a permanent advertisement for products on Amazon unless you pay a one time fee to get rid of it.

Everything we needed, nothing more, nothing less. I wanted a tablet for a pre-teen that was a step above the kids tablet but not too expensive. This tablet is perfect (size, capabilities, and price point). I am able to set limitations and gradually change them as my child matures. It provides enough memory for Roblox, Youtube, and Netflix (and other platforms).

Works great, very fast, easy to use controls. Nice picture and easy zoom.

Awesome start out tablet for anyone who wants to stream video content, check their socials, play game apps and pretty much anything that doesn’t require a lot of RAM. Camera is not great but Its great value for your money. Would recommend!

Love the speed and the white face is bright in the sun
