My 8 year old son got this tablet for Christmas and it has been awesome. You can set a time limit on how long they can play daily and even set a required time for them to complete educational tasks or reading.

our youngest grandson was delighted in this for he can learn as well as play his favoret games. thanks for suggesting this for him it is better equipped for his age and helps him to stay interested in learning

Definately a good purchase for a 9 yr old. Have not had any issues at all and would recommend. Can be frustrating with all the lockdowns until you get it tweaked for your child, after that smooth sailing.

Free apps for a year for kids and the big foam case are just a few of the advantages and likes of this product. May not have the internal memory or ease of finding apps, but serves great for a 3 year old

My Granddaughter loves it and is able to access most of the features on it. This is a tablet that she can grow with and the parental controls are great.

We purchased this tablet for our 8 year old son for Christmas and we are so happy we chose this Kindle Fire. Our son LOVES it! This Kindle is so easy to use he easily downloads all the apps, games, books he loves and the safety shell around the kindle is so great.

My son loves this tablet! He can play games, read books, watch videos, take pictures, and more! Im very happy with the tablet because of the option for kids or adult profiles with separate settings!

I like it over all It's a bit slow Battery is not the best But again it's only $99 Free apps and books are worth the money. Quite easy to manage time limit for use of games and video I recomend it

Santa got each one of my kids one for Christmas. Ages range from 3 - 10. They love them. There seems to be a huge selection of material with Freetime. The case is perfect for the roughness of kids and the 2 year warranty gives comfort if anything does happen.

Kiddo likes to play on it when we go places. I like the feature that you can use that has then something educational before they can play any games. Also like you can time how long they're on it.

This is a great tablet for kids. There is so much they can do on this both fun games and educational as well. I bought one for my 4 year old great granddaughter and was so impressed with programs available I bought one for her sister who is six almost seven.

Battery dies quick, you'll need to buy the SD card. For a child it's ideal. For an adult it's a joke! Rubber comes off looks great. But it's no iPad!

This is wonderful for my 9 year old to find books that he is interested in, apps that he can enjoy, and videos that catch his attention; that I don't have to worry about what he is getting into.

Although we were used to a different "tablet" which Best Buy no longer sells, we ended up purchasing two (2) of these one for a 9 yo and one for a 3 yo. They don't have an issue maneuvering around on it at all!! The biggest issue I came across is what everyone else did, THE STORAGE SPACE, I see they will now be offering a larger INTERNAL storage soon, however, you will still need to purchase a Micro SD card, and don't go small. I don't like that each item you click on has to download before you can play, watch or read, the nice thing is if it's downloaded, they can use the game, video, book offline. The other major issue is that everyone on the Amazon account has an icon on the tablet, this means "to each is NOT his own" and I have kids fighting over them "it's mine" when really it doesn't matter due to everyone, including myself being able to log into your profile on any tablet. I have screen locks on mine automatically as the administrator, but I also put one on my 9 yo's as then the 3 yo can't access his profile. With everyone "sharing" an Amazon account it seems to eat up the storage space as it combines each profile together on the account on the tablets storage. It would be nice if you could set it up so each tablet is only accessible by one person and not everyone on the Amazon account.

These tablets are great for my kids which are 2 and 4. I don't have to worry that they are accessing something that they shouldn't be. The protective cushion is also very kid friendly and makes it easy and comfortable to hold. Would definitely buy again!

I had previously purchased the same tablet for my grandson. It's easy to use and withstands play and is well protected. I like the fact that it comes with its own cover. Strong and durable.

I like the features on the kids edition of the Kindle, and the parental controls are nice. However, the battery is rather poor. I gave this device to my son for Christmas, and after about 3 hours of use, the battery was completely dead. Even in stand-by mode when you aren't doing anything, the battery completely discharges in about 24 hours. You need to completely turn off the Kindle between uses to preserve the battery. We also own another brand of tablet, and it can go a whole week without being recharged, even with several hours of use each day.

I purchased two of these for 6 year old twins to keep them busy on a five hour flight to Florida. They worked perfectly and the twins explored a number of the free apps that came with the tablet along with some games Mom loaded on them before starting their trip. The only drawback with these tablets is the charger is really flimsy and the prong that inserts into the tablet bends easily. One of the chargers was ruined by the time we got back from our trip and the other was bent badly. My advice is to not allow children to play with the tablet while it is being charged to eliminate the issue until Amazon comes up with a better charger which they should be able to do.

I bought for my grand daughters they really love it it's nice that it has a child proof case and it has a parental controls the kid proof case is a plus overall I think it is a good product

Bought this as a gift for my niece for her second (third?) birthday. She's always on the phone watching YouTube, so we got her this. Comes with lots of extras, but the best thing is the warranty. Regardless of what happens you can return it. LOVE IT.
