I highly recommend this product. Very easy to use, plenty of storage, and you have options if you want to expand with a usb-c hub. I bought the hub so I can have an external 64gb flip drive, a wireless keyboard, and a 10/100/1000 Ethernet adapter. Saving the best for last is watching your favorites in 4K. Spectrum cable is only 1080i, so you get a much brighter pictures , with colors you won’t see on cable.

By far one of the best streaming devices out

I have a local business. I resell these units as well a few other units that are similar in construct and design. This unit however is by far one of the best out there. The 16gb storage, allows for numerous apps, and the 6 core processing power is relatively unmatched dollar to dollar with other streaming units. No a big fan with the search via Alexa as this is mainly ONLY good for the paid content and the entire purpose for this device on the consumer side is to cut costs or main stream services and save money. With this being said, all in all, the Amazon 2nd gen cube has by far the best ROI.

Bought the first generation cube when it came out and never turned back. Waited to buy the second generation mainly because I had no need. Looking to buy a second, main reason I bought the second generation. Easy to set up and Alexa is a great addition to your smart home. If you don’t have smart products in your home it’s not really needed. Rarely have problems. Would recommend

It's a good streaming device and great for anyone in the Amazon Prime ecosystem. There isn't any noticeable difference in functionality from the various variety of Fire TV Sticks, except that you can control it (and the TV, soundbar etc.) with Amazon Alexa without needing to speak into the microphone on the remote. The device specs say that it is faster than the Fire Sticks with more storage, so it can hold more games and apps. It also comes with an optional ethernet port if your wifi is slower.

After using a FireStick for so long, I am absolutely thrilled with the performance of my Cube. It's more stable when streaming, incredibly fast on downloads, more memory, and Alexa integration is awesome. I would recommend this device to anyone looking for a enjoyable streaming experience!

Alexa Users Must Have Streaming Device!

Amazon Fire Cube works great with Alexa devices. Super easy to set up. You can use voice commands for changing channels. Amazon deliveries show up on a picture-in-picture box on your TV screen. Ring doorbell alerts appear on screen and you can even view the Ring doorbell camera feed. If you use announcements on your Alexa devices, the announcement also flashes on your TV screen. Pretty cool device and super easy set-up. I was able to easy connect my Bose surround sound by verbally speaking setting up the Cube. I recommend this if you're a big Alexa user. I seem to switch to the Roku device over the Fire TV for the streaming app layout, speed and streaming options. I also like the Roku remote much better. I like the Alexa features and ease of use. I love both devices and use them both equally.

I stream media from a variety of devices. Best Buy ran the Amazon Fire TV Cube on sale, so I decided to try it. It is noticeably quicker than Fire Stick 4K & the remote is far superior to my Apple TV 4K. The voice activation works great. Simply say "Alexa, turn on the TV" and on goes the TV & sound bar. It includes a wired ethernet adaptor & an infrared (IR) transmitter on a cable to direct the signal to equipment behind doors. I just bought my 3rd Cube from Best Buy. This product is a winner.

Packaged very well , it is very steady and looks good would be nice to see it in different colors, now that would be a good Idea. Very easy to set-up and to use, has voice control also. Faster than the 4k stick with more memory. Get it on sale and you will be very happy.

Worth the upgrade from my 1st Gen FireTV!!

I originally had a 1st gen FireTV but was starting to have issues with internal memory space and speed. I also wanted to be able to connect it to my soundbar wirelessly for multi room music but that specific model was unable to, which led me to buying the FireTV Cube. Overall I really like it, it is significantly faster than my FireTV or Firestick and it has the ability to control and connect to my bose sound bar so I get multi-room music. The only irritating part is that I always have to make latency sync corrections between the soundbar and my other devices but it's flawless other than that. The speaker on it isn't bad but I wouldn't really depend on it as a replacement speaker for anything. The remote is upgraded with a volume and power button now which is REALLY nice and has helped me condense remotes so the upgrade was very welcome. Overall it was worth the upgrade!

This has been my go to device for entertainment since I purchased it. I do have cable TV via COMCAST, but the wife and I seem to spend more time using our Amazon Prime or some of the other online TV and Movie sites. Very easy to use. I also installed KODI on this for our huge video collection we have. This box is pretty fast which I like, my last FIRE TV 2nd Gen Box was getting old and sluggish. Thinking about eventually purchasing the NVIDIA SHIELD and giving that a look-see.

Had been using the 4K fire sticks but was getting to much buffering. I added external memory to them but the buffering kept on. Because the sticks have about 8 gigs of memory, it left little room for swapping of the information so I tried a Fire cube because of the 16 gigs of storage. I went ahead and added the external memory for the side loads and wow, the picture is so much better, got rid of probably 99% of buffering problems and have since bought another one. Well worth the difference and all I’ll get is a Fire cube from now on.

Amazon - Fire TV Cube 16GB 2nd Gen Streaming revie

I purchased Amazon - Fire TV Cube 16GB 2nd Gen Streaming Media Player with Voice Remote - Black for my son and his family. This is what my daughter-in-law had to say "I love the hands free feature and the picture quality better even without a 4K TV. There are some things we need to do with a remote and when you have it in your hand you keep using it. So sometimes that can defeat the purpose. I think it works better for people in large spaces than in small apartments. It was easy to set up but did take about an hour so you need to have that time to download all your subscriptions and enter in all the codes. It definitely an upgrade from my fire stick and I'm happy with the purchase."

If you like streaming & trust hands free voice use this is the move to make! Holds more memory than stick responds quickly and while may take some getting use to its a change to simplicity. Like voice commands , notices to update apps or Amazon deliveries & orders. Also interacts/interfaces with a variety of other devices. The remote is still the little one with mic for voice commands as simpler navigator. Does get to know your preferences makes for ease of use. Practice to perfect.

This is my second one, I have a 1st Gen cube and so far I can already tell this one is faster. First notched with the download speeds compared to the 1st Gen, a lot faster. Super quick set up, these cubes are pretty good in recognizing what you have hooked up already. I have a smart TV, Soundgarden and PlayStation set up on it. Alexa makes things convenient. Plus you can add just about any second party app to these just like on the fire stick. You get more space so this is good for people who are savvy with streaming.
