Best streamer for the money, especially if you are a Prime member. This also has a speaker in it so it functions like an echo. My favorite thing is this is faster than those stick streamers. No getting bogged down menus. Also, voice command works without the remote. “Echo, play Ducktales on Disney+!” Boom, it’s playing. Get this thing!

I bought the Fire Cube to have a better speed for our supposed smart tv. Not only does it have immediate changes between channels, (instead of 2 or 3 seconds before it gets a lock,) it works the television just like the remote. I also think it is hands down better than the Apple cube, which we have to run another tv. Definitely the best bang for the buck!

I loved that I wanted for the 2nd Gen Fire tv cube. It was a great upgrade for me from the fire stick and is a lot more faster with ease. It has all that I need in one and I could not ask for much more. I bought 2 already and plan on buying more in the future to come. Definitely way more memory space then what I had.

I bought the 16gb Cube because my original 8gb Fire stick was running out of memory for my apps. So i purchased this and had it installed and running first day I brought it home. Then for some reason, things began to mess up the next two days. I finally had to reset and reinstall. And things began to work as expected. Was able to connect my TV and soundbar to be voice controlled. Excellent performance, plus it comes with Alexa built-in so I moved the Echo Dot in my living room to the dining room.

I purchased the FireCube to get access to streaming sources that weren't supported by my TV or Comcast X1 box. It is living up to my expectations and then some. Picture quality and performance are great. Only issue I've had is with controlling Alexa volume when the TV isn't on. If you adjust it be be audible when the TV is off it blasts you out when you turn on the TV...

I simply love the Amazon fire cube. I have 2 of them. I had an insignia 55 fire TV back in the day and absolutely loved the functionality of having the fire system built right into the TV. Thing is insignia TV's are cheap and picture quality is not the best. Now I have 2 Vizio P series quantum's and the quality is amazing but ask anyone with a Vizio "smart" TV and they will tell you it is far from smart. That's where the cubes come in. I can ask Alexa to turn my TV on, switch inputs, change volume, tell me the weather and so much more. Gives me all the same features I loved about the insignia and Toshiba fire TV's 10/10 would reccomend.

I may not care for Jeff Bezos as a person, but his people put out some truly amazing devices. Plug and play is an understatement. You can almost throw the box at your TV and it works. The remote can be tuned to both th TV and sound bar within minutes and you're off to some excellent channel surfing. I have high speed wifi through Comcast, but I've completely eliminated all their programming services. Saves a ton on the cable bill. I use a combination of YouTube TV and the Fire Box to give me all the stations I need, and binge watching 100's of different programs that I had forgotten about. Yes, Its a little bit more difficult in the beginning to maneuver between the services and programs, but at over $1,000 savings a year over cable programming, it's an acceptable tradeoff. Pretty sure you won't be disappointed in any way.

Have two firesticks and love them. Having the extra storage space is nice but the best feature is the adapter that allows you to plug in your ethernet cable giving you faster speeds then wifi. Stopped a lot of buffering problems and much performance with add on apps. This adapter can be bought separately.

We were seeing lagging in our 1st gen Amazon Fire Stick and decided to upgrade to the Fire TV Cube since it was on sale. It is definitely faster than our old Fire Stick (we can actually stream our Plex media server without issue now instead of having to stream via our Xbox One). Love the speedy user experience switching between apps as well.

Worth the extra cost from the Firestick. The Hexa-core processor makes menu loading so much faster than the Firesticks. I love the extra memory on the cube as well! The cube does come with an adapter that allows you to hardwire it to the router for a much more stable connection than wifi! Spend the extra, go for the Firestick.

This gives you Firestick plus Echo capability in one unit. It's small and non-intrusive. It "hears" very well in our living room / kitchen area. It integrates well with your other home theater items, but when it turns your TV on via voice command it wants Fire to take over versus letting the TV run the show. It would be nice if that was programmable. I also wish it would retain names for the various TV HDMI ports it can switch between when it faces a restart or power failure. My wife cannot remember to say "HDMI1" instead of "TiVo". I also wish Alexa had more good jokes to tell me!!! ;-)

Bought this for my 80 year old dad that wanted to make his tv experience a bit easier. Now instead of fiddling with multiple remotes and getting flustered he can simply operate verbally. Switches between ESPN and Netflix with ease, on/off and volume are a breeze and even the historically challenging ‘pause’ are not a problem any longer.

I was looking for a replacement for my fire TV stick that started acting up and gave better quality for streaming. This cube not only gives better streaming quality, but also has so many new verbal command features, and has a built in "Alexa" that replaced our existing amazon echo dot which saves space. Highly recommended.

THE POSITIVES: it's fast, reliable, has more storage than the stick versions and has a built in echo dot which allows for hands free control. I've paired it with a couple of echo premium's and the sound is great for a bedroom setup. It also has the option to connect via WiFi or Ethernet. The cube itself is small so the footprint is minimal which minimizes any possible obstruction or distraction from the TV. THE NEGATIVES: Although it plays well with almost all streaming services the 1 major exception is Apple TV. I've had zero luck getting Apple TV to play on the cube. I researched solutions endlessly and only found that this is a pretty common problem. I've tried every possible troubleshooting avenue and nothing works. I've communicated with Amazon and after many failed attempts they passed me along to Apple, which is nonexistent support for the TV app. I have a 4k streaming stick and it plays Apple TV with no issues which makes this even more frustrating since the cube is over double the price! Which leads to the 2nd negative. What you get for the higher price is: double the storage, built in echo dot, built in Ethernet capability, and the ability to pair with Amazon speakers for a home theater setup. Although this feature is available in the 4k stick and the lite stick, it's been my experience that these options don't work very well (dropped audio, static, etc.). If the additional features appeal to you then the price is justified. Although I'm overall happy with the product the price could be better.

The new remote is much better than the old one. Built in voice is good, but features like turn off and on the tv via voice require a newer tv. Be sure to check if your tv works with the features your hoping to have. Much faster than the Stick.

A Higher Performance, More Memory Streaming Device

The Amazon Fire TV Cube 16GB 2nd Gen Streaming Media Player with Voice Remote is an absolute necessity if you are serious about enjoying streaming video entertainment. As good as the various other stick-style streaming devices may be, they can be woefully underpowered and lack an acceptable amount of on-board non-volatile memory. The increased speed due to the extra processing performance of this Cube makes using the Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K device on our second TV an almost painful experience waiting for the device to respond to manipulating the user interface and waiting for Apps and content to load. And the 16GB memory of the Cube over the paltry 8GB memory of the 4K Stick allows more Apps to be loaded at once on the Cube. As opposed to reaching an "insufficient memory limit" on the 4K Stick after installing only a few Apps. This is a must-have streaming device.

I think I've seriously tried every type of media hub/streaming device on the planet. Though Roku has its positives with many app choices & fluid interface, the FireTV Cube is simply in a whole other graduated realm of advanced streaming tech. The processor on this device is WAY faster than sticks and previous gen models. The storage space is excellent, whole home connectivity with Alexa & other Fire Sticks in the home is a fabulous feature, and what really makes this unit shine is when it's paired with a FireTV Recast DVR. I can access all my local over-the-air recordings with ease and there's never any monthly fees (just need a decent antenna signal, which is no issue where I live). Roku & Apple's streaming devices are fine for simple streaming apps, but the FireTV Cube is for people who really want a more advanced streaming smartbox their whole home A/V setup.
