This is great for upgrading an old flat-screen television. It is voice-activated, easy to hookup and apps can be added.

Love my Fire TV Cube. I have Alexa built into my TV, but I really use the Fire TV Cube more. Instead of using the separate Prime Video app, the separate Hulu app, etc.. that's on the TV, I have everything in one place on the Fire TV Cube. Plus, I have multiple Fire TV 4K Sticks and so my settings/shows that I watch/etc. sync between all of them (for the most part). And it works as a regular Echo device, even when the TV is turned off. That's the real differentiator between using the built in TV apps and the Fire TV Cube.

A worthy upgrade that is worth consideration if you're a fan of Fire TV capabilities and experience, and looking for more storage, speed, and reliability.

WE LOVE THIS. Tv just got so much easier. Now when I lose the remote because the kids go wacko with it I can just talk to Alexa. Takes away so much stress.

This was a replacement for our original 1st gen cube which started having freezing issues and constantly needed to be reset (read unplug and plug back in). We love the new 2nd gen cube, so far no issues but we purchased the replacement coverage all the same. Well worth it. Fire sticks and cube tend to run hot so make sure it is in a well ventilated area and kept dust free. Tied into our existing Smart Home system we very rarely have to use the remote, mostly inside those 3rd party apps that don't respond well to voice commands. I give it 4 stars only because of running hot, I don't think that Amazon has a good handle on passive cooling yet.

Needed something with a little more memory as I am a cord cutter. The firecube was the best choice. Easy to install and very user friendly.

Seamlessly streams movies and tv shows, load Kodi and apk, understands voice perfectly, I recommend this product and the Nvidia shield

The amazon fire tv cube 2nd generation is an excellent product for streaming I had mine for several months and never had an issue with it simple to operate

really good.. upgrade from firestick 4k. it has great video quality and fast speed. alexa is good but needs improvements. i am sure amazon will improve alexa with future updates.

Works great has tons of apps. Very easy to use and very fast. Love that its also alexa enabled now so u can use it hands free.

Great cube. I use it with an old Samsung tv (4k, but an older model tv) and a nakamichi sound bar. The quality is excellent. Prior to buying this fire cube, i considered buying a new tv. With the cube, the picture and sound qualities are excellent. Like having a new tv. I love it. Many apps, such as tidal, disney+, prime, netflix, etc. offer their best features on this cube, such as dolby vision, dolby atmos, etc. Only my older tv has some limitations. But, the cube is excellent.

Great purchase and I recommend this over the fire sticks any day. I don’t have many gripes with the sticks but this is just better and faster and not to mention the Alexa integrated without hitting buttons works wonders.

Its connectivity is much faster than pervious versions. Picture quality is great and remote control is a lot user Friendly. Still does not connect to echo. That is why for the four stars not five.

I've bought several of these devices and i will tell you this. For streaming, voice activation for lights, cameras etc around the house this device is perfect.

I have fire sticks but wanted to have more storage so I brought the cube. I like that you can just talk to it and not have to have the remote in your hands.

I got this because my fire stick didnt have much room. This one hasnt let me down on space yet.

Hands down its better than the first version I had for sure. It used to frustrate me to no end and I thought about replacing it many times. this one works way better and I have no real issue with it. I still can get the follow up mode to work quite right but all the voice commands work like a charm, it can actually here my commands, and it serves double duty as one device for both my echo and fire tv needs. the added volume controls are very welcomed as well. Whether it is connected wired or wireless it does what is supposed to do about 90% of the time and I got it on sale so that makes my purchase even better.
