Amazon TV Fire Stick With Alexa Voice Remote

Simple & works...even on a 12 yr old TV

A Fire Stick seemed like a good low cost alternative - and it completely over-delivered!! Plugged into a 12 yr old Toshiba, connected to wifi, a quick update and the Fire Stick instantly worked. Flawlessly controls channels and volume, the voice control is simple and all major streaming services are at your fingertips.

I purchased this of a spare TV located in a guest room. We cut the cord for this TV as it was rarely used, but wanted to be able to stream movies, etc. so that guests would have a TV in their room. Works great and no issues setting up. Love these things and the price is great - we have an Apple TV that cost three times as much but doesn't really offer anything that we can't find on the FireStick for a third the price.

Cut the cord!

When the Firestick went on sale, I decided to try it. The only issue I had was plugging it into the HDMI port. I had to use the HDMI extender. But once I got it started, it was easy setting it up. It walks you through, step-by-step. Now I can cut the cord and start streaming my shows for a lot less money.

I had the older version and the newer version is much faster with option that I like, like the ability to control the volume. This allows less remote to clutter the area. Con which is not that major is that there is still the click sound when depressing the buttons on the remote. I don't why it bothers me so much but it is annoying.

You truly get more than you pay for with the fire stick!

It couldn’t be easier to install and use. Plus, it allows use of all my TV streaming APPs in one place, even several which my Smart TV was not equipped to download & activate. The neat remote is a joy to use with just the essentials. Teaching the remote to control my Bose sound system was easy, and now a real convenience.

Life saver for a fraction of the cost of Apple TV

I had purchased an Apple TV for my parents (in their early 70’s) for Christmas. The remote was so sensitive just on the set up, that my parents struggled with it and put it aside. I had also purchased an Amazon Fire Stick for someone else. I went ahead and gave it to my parents and it was so much easier to use for a fraction of the cost.
