It serves its purpose which is to download many books and being accessible. I don't know why I waited so long to buy one. It also has a kid's function that keeps track of pages/ minutes read. This comes in handy since my daughter needs to keep a reading log for school. Love it!

I bought this for my mother for Christmas and she loves it! she loves to read and was reading on the go mostly on her tablet, which she complained was too heavy. the Kindle is super light and portable...she hasn't put it down yet.

This is my third Kindle E-Reader. The first two were identical with control buttons on the sides to move forward or backward through the text. My current model uses touch screen technology and I find it less responsive than my other touch screen products. I wish I had purchased the Kindle Fire with additional features and perhaps a more sensitive screen.

Wife had been reading books on her I-Pad for years. Not really a great format for books because of distractions. She mentioned she might want to look into getting a "Kindle". We went, we looked, we bought, and she is addicted to it. She's happy, I'm happy.

When my previous Kindle (the very first one made), I was at Best Buy within 20 minutes to purchase a new one. I wanted one strictly for reading, and once I got used to the new features, I love it just as much as my old one. It fits my needs perfectly. I highly recommend it to fellow avid readers like myself.

I bought this for my husband as a stocking stuffer and he isn't quite up with the technology of it but I checked it out (I have a Kindle Fire HD) and thought it was great for someone who just wants to have an ereader without all the fancy gadgets. I do wish I had bought the upgrade that had backlighting but for the price, it's a great value.

My wife really wanted a kindle, but one that has a backlight! Thankfully I waited until it went on sale! This kindle is incredibly light, easy to use, and has a great battery life!
