Battery life is awesome, letters are crisp and page turns are really fast compared to other readers ive had, i have no complaints at all.

After using my iPhone for YEARS to read Kindle books, I am so happy to finally have an actual Kindle. The size is great, the screen looks great - super crips & easy to read in bright light. I'm so happy to FINALLY have one!

Kindle touch is very convenient for reading. Its battery life is good and touch functionality is very smooth.

I am an avid reader, I really thought I would hate transitioning to an E-reader. Is this the same as an actual book? No. But it is a very pleasant experience. This is much easier to carry around with me, and you do save some money on books as well. Well designed and it works as advertised. I do wish I had bough the Paperwhite, only because of the onboard reading light though

I bought this as a gift for my dad. He loves to read books but it was hard for him to always carry them around. He refused to buy one of these for himself because he was so sure he wouldn't like it. After receiving it, he doesn't know how he ever lived without it. Great product and excellent service and shipping from Best Buy!

It is a great item and there are many new features on there that are great. I had an older Kindle that was stolen so I am comparing it to that one. I like the screen on the older kindle better, less of a glare, but I had to get a case with a build in light. The new one has a built in light. The smaller size was harder to get used, but is very compact.

Another wonderful edition to the kindle family. They make reading in the sunlight or pretty much anywhere a piece of cake. Ordering books through amazon is great as well. Now that they have their monthly service, it's a no brainer. My family has owned a couple of these and we never have any complaints. The best way to read in the 21st century!

I bought this as a gift for my mother. She loves the kindle touch. This is her first e-reader but she loves the no glare screen, the search, bookmark and text enlargement functions. She previously read e-books on her 10 in tables but has taken to using her kindle full-time.

I bought this 3 days ago and I already read one book it almost feel like I was reading paper book. Compare to my old days reading e-book with my cell phone or ipad, this is way better in terms of eye comportness. I definately recommend this to anyone.

I just traded in my old Kindle with Special Offers to my new Kindle ereader. The new Kindle has so much more memory than the old one and the new one is all touch screen instead of buttons. It works well and my only complaint is finding a way to scroll through my books in the cloud faster that having to swipe one page of books at a time. When I have to look through almost 5000 books in the cloud, it becomes a bit tedious. Come on, Amazon. Come up with a solution!!

This version of the Kindle e-reader is a big improvement. It has touch screen so no need to push buttons to login or turn pages.

Great battery life, easy to read screen (though the paperwhite looks better) with zero glare in the sun. I only wish it had a light for reading in a dark room. Otherwise I really like this guy.

I love my Kindle 5 basic e-reader. I didn't want a Paperwhite because I hate the touch screen, and this is the same thing.. You cannot use this with one hand (page forward is hard if it;s in the left hand, page back in the right. Accidental bumps change pages. Page turns are slower, You get fingerprints on the screen especially if you are swiping instead of tapping. I see no reason to not keep the buttons in the right and left sides of the Kindle even if it has a touch screen. You might as well read Kindle books on a tablet instead of buying this.
