I bought this reader as a college student to download my text books so I could easily have them on the go. I now only use my Kindle for all my homework!!! I love it! The only thing I wish this model had was a backlight. I may upgrade, but only for that reason.

I bought this for my son for Christmas. It allows me to set up an account (Freetime) on there for them where I can monitor their reading. It gives them awards for achieving goals. It's really easy to assign them a book from Amazon.

This is a replacement for the 3rd version which was not a touch screen. I like the touch screen but it is supper sensitive often changing font size or advancing the pages. I have learned to be careful to not touch unless needed.

I bought this for my Nana as a birthday gift. She's been using it for the last week or so, so far my Nana says that she absolutely loves it and the paper white feature is really a big help for her when she takes it to the beach.

I have been using my tablet to read Amazon Books. With a tablet my eyes get tired very easily. I purchased the Kindle for every day reading. It is now a pleasure to read of long periods. It took awhile to figure out where to touch for bookmarks menu;s etc. Now that I have mastered it, it is very easy to use. Easy to change font sizes. Hardly notice any flicker when changing pages. Excellent reader for ebooks from Amazon.

This was purchased for my 12 year old that has newly discovered ADHD, smart girl but just has a harder time with comprehension. The ability this gives her to keep her books organized, and encourages highlighting as well as gives her the definitions of the words that she would previously gloss over. She has truly become a lover of reading and I don't ever have to ask to read on her own. This was the best thing I have bought for her as of yet!

I love to read and for the price you cant beat this Kindle. Its the perfect size and so much easier to take with me than an actual book. Its fast and i love how you can adjust the size of the text.

This is my spare unit. it is light and works great. I often have two books going at the same time. It is a good way to share.

I purchased this for my boyfriend's sister-in-law for Christmas. The device is very intuitive (easy to use) and saves a lot of her purse room. It is also very durable which is perfect for her with 2 little kiddos.

Bought as gift. Easy setup. Access to 1000's of books! Was debating between this and the Kindle Paperwhite. Person that received that not having the back light encourages them to read and go to bed when they should. LOL!

I purchased this Kindle for my grandson who's at college. He was never a reader and since he acquired the Kindle he is reading very often. It's a great gift.

Was looking for an e-reader for my daily subway commute, didn't have a lot to spend, this kindle doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but functions perfectly well for day-to-day reading. Very portable and light, has wifi connectivity.

I have bought the regular one before but feel uncomfortable reading that one. So I buy the paperwhite this time. It makes my eyes feel comfortable

So far I really like to read on my new Kindle, the only thing I'm having a hard time with is figuring out how to upload books onto it via several different avenues. Great to read from and small enough to put into my purse.

My wife bought this to replace her older kindle and she loves the compact size and the anti-glare of the screen. She love to read at the pool and the anti-glare makes it easier for her to read.

We are a kindle family, my wife needed a new kindle and I found this at a great price. I would recommend kindle to anyone looking for a ereader.

For anybody that reads a lot and travels the e reader is an awesome devise to be able to order a book at the push of a button and read with ease I love it. And the battery last forever on it.

Amazon Kindle 6" 4GB has a nice antiglare display. It is very good for reading books. The experimental browser needs improvement. It's easy to set up and use.

Excellent value for money. The E-ink technology is so easy to read, even better than paper. Amazon has a huge number of e-books available. Books can also be rented from public libraries.

bought this for my mother to give to a temporarily bedridden friend. I preloaded it with 17 books from my kindle account, and she reports that it was a god-send. Lightweight, easy to navigate, a joy to read.
