This was a gift. The user is very happy with it and is considering getting Amazon Prime. The screen is almost like white paper and there is very little glare.

I love the size and weight. So much easier than my tablet. I enjoy reading without the lit screen of my tablet - much better for my eyes.

This is my first kindle and I am extremely pleased with the quality and the price of this device. I will first mention that I purchased this item for Black Friday which I got at a great price! I must also mention that this is a great beginner kindle. I have never had a kindle before and this is a perfect start. I have learned how to navigate and become fully comfortable in using this product. Overall I think anyone would benefit from this item beginner or expert. The price is amazing and it works really well. One complaint no backlight so it is difficult to read in dim lighting.

I love my Kindle. I am a true reader and have read on my Nook and iPad and prefer the Kindle!

The product is fine and works exactly as described. I have some personal preferences that didn't make this the perfect buy. I wanted a Kindle for my mobi files. I specifically wanted a kindle because of the battery life. The problem I have is that I need something with backlighting as I read quite a bit at night and don't necessarily want to have additional lighting.

My daughter is an avid reader. She had akindle before and lost it. She has loved this one and has it in her hands all the time.

Great price for almost everything my Paperwhite does. Bought as a gift for my Mom and she loves it. Do wish it came with a power adapter and was backlit.

This is the second Kindle I have purchased and I love it. It's perfect for traveling, as it's primary purpose of purchasing.

I was skeptical of Kindles when they first came out, but I tried out the free Kindle app on my phone. After a while I realized I had over 500 books on my Kindle App and thought it was time for the actual thing. As some of the tv ads say, the Kindle is made to withstand drops and crashes. My Kindle looks a little worse for wear because of a few scrapes and scratches on the case, but still works wonderfully well! I would recommend this Kindle product to anyone that wants a great eReader.

Although I have absolutely loved my original Kindle, I do not find the Kindle Touch as wonderful. The off button is in a bad place. Because you can't hold it on the screen (or you will be turning pages), if you hold your hand at the bottom, it can accidentally turn off. I have also inadvertently turned pages forward when I thought I was turning back. I wish direct of swiping motion turned it each way rather than area of screen.

This is my second Kindle and this one is even better then the first. Easy to use.

Surprisingly lightweight. The backlight comes in handy even when it's not dark. Even though the screen is fairly small, I find myself not bothered by it too much. Awesome kindle feature: estimating the remaining time left in a chapter based on your reading speed. It comes in handy when trying to wrap up a chapter before leaving for work.

I like the Kindle, because this eReader is simple, easy to use, and does not have the distractions that a tablet has.

We purchased this reader for our son and he has been very pleased. He is a good reader for the money. He liked the size and basic features.

Handy, easy to use, great battery life. Only draw back is , it needs external lighting to read.
