Very easy to use. Great vibrant display. Very quick

This is a great size for a reader. I can take it and read it on the train or bus, even standing up. I love the clarity of the HD screen. It is very light and can be held and operated with one hand. The only downside is there are no cases other than the origami nonsense thing they sell. I just want a slim case or rubber like skin. Also, wish they named each Kindle differently with a unique name, so buying accessories could be easier.

I recently purchased this tablet for my daughters 8th birthday. She had been asking for a tablet ever since Christmas. I was really impressed with how easy to use and how easy to set up this tablet is. In less than 5 minutes my daughter was up and running with this thing. Very smooth operation. Great price. Definitely one of my best purchases.

This things is pretty awesome. Watching Netflix in my bed has become my new favorite thing. Next to reading in the bathtub that is. I've discovered that if I put my kindle in a ziplock bag I can read while relaxing in the tub. I know it still sounds a little risky... But it's pretty great! The screen quality as well as the speakers are top notch. It's very light weight and super easy to navigate. I would recommend this 100%. I haven't felt smidgen of buyers remorse. Kindle Fire: you are all I could hope for... And more!

We have had multiple tablets in our home. By far the HDX is my favorite. The picture quality and sound are vibrant and clear. The camera shoots great pictures and video. The overall performance is outstanding. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a new tablet.

I highly recommend this. It is a perfect size and has a great picture. The kindle is not just a reader. It is versatile and easy to use. I have never had a problem with it.

This is a great product that I highly recommend to anyone.It is In expensive and does what another tablet would do without the added cost.It is light to feel unlike others so easy to tote around.The help button with a live operator 24 hours a day is as good as customer service gets.This is the best product on the market right now for the price.One small drawback is that it only has a forward facing camera so you can only take selfies(boring!!!) The 8.9 has a rear(away) facing camera and I would have liked that much better that just a forward facing camera.Please buy this product if you are contemplating it at all.Great great Buy!!!Best Bang for your Buck!!!You will not regret your purchase.

I got this kindle to replace one I got about two years ago, my son (age 4) would go to plug it in to charge and it just broke. I love the new placement of the charger, I love the screen, it so much better then my old one. I like that the volume controls are on the backside. But the only thing I don't like is the on button. Its in the back in a place hard to reach with the two cases I've had with it. the first case was broken by my son twice, so I got another one (cheaper) which works great except for the ease of turning it on. All the other Best Buy tablet cases were pretty much the same. I have not tried the origami case (its priced a little steep for me) .

Love my kindle. Easy to use and light enough to carry around. I am a senior citizen and I use it for everything imaginable from banking to music to lots and lots of reading.

Great device for the price. It works as well as our ipad, but for half the price. If you are a regular Amazon shopper then you will love how easy it is to download movies and books from Amazon. Prime is also a great service with this device. My only warning is that if you buy the unit "with special offers" that you will have to view an ad every time you unlock your device and you can't remove this feature without paying Amazon and going through some steps to get the ads removed. They really don't bug me, but pay the extra $ up front if this is something that will get to you.

I happen to love my Kindle Fire HDx. I received it for my birthday in May. I had asked for something to read with as I was using my computer with a program for Nook. But to hold my laptop the entire time was getting old. I love the feel of books and I still use them, but there is something awesome about having a small tablet no bigger than a steno pad and being able to read a book that is 1000 pages without the weight. For Facebookers, the viewing is great. PIctures are so much bigger. I find that replying on the keyboard takes a bit of practice because they are so much bigger than replying on a phone. I also have been using the calendar, which I never did on my laptop. Very easy. Reminders are sent for each date. Overall I love my Kindlefire.

Fast processor, Super screen resolution, Storage capacity 16 gigabytes, good battery life and very stable. Excellent materials and construction. I like it.

Got this for my girlfriend, who had been using an original kindle fire for about 3-4 years. This one is clearly superior in every way: it is noticeably faster doing everything. The screen is much higher definition. The arrangements of apps, while quite similar, is much more functional. It is considerably lighter and more durable. Her original case fits the new one fine. All in all, this was the time for her to upgrade !

If you're looking for something to surf the web/use fb and watch youtube videos in a larger format than your phone this is for you. You can also access most apps and games and it works very well. The value for the price is outstanding and even more so if you have an Amazon Prime account. Honestly not sure why you would buy an iPad other than if you need a bigger format, but this one's perfect for my needs. It also makes it a pretty sweet affordable gift! Cheers

Great tablet! Easy to use, great screen, great size. It connects easy to wireless networks and of course it is easy to order books and other items.

I had an old Kindle that was only an e-reader and I resisted getting one of the newer tablet designs because I didn't think it was necessary since I have a laptop and a smart phone. When Best Buy had really good prices on them, I thought okay, it would be nice to have on trips. I debated between this model and the larger one. I decided on this size because it will fit in my purse and is more comfortable to hold when reading in bed. The only thing I liked better on the larger size was that it has an outward facing camera that would be handy for taking pictures. I was amazed by the sharp picture and surround-like sound! I've now gotten hooked on watching Amazon instant videos in bed at night. I can put earplugs so it doesn't bother my husband. I love it! It's a great combination with Amazon Prime.

I really enjoy my kindle. It's fast, the movies look great. The price could not be beat. I will travel with it.

If you have the money to dish out on a bigger screen by all means do so. It's a nice battery last. It was a gift for my girlfriend and so far no complaints she uses for her classes as well in college. Does some homework on it.

Note : this is a great product for the budget conscious, but if you want to take notes in class or in meetings and have the money, get an iPad. I recommend this for one app only: capturenotes I own an iPad and my kids have kindle fires. I use capturenotes all the time for meetings (app is about two bucks and well worth it) allows you to make audio recording and bookmark the audio with multicolored flags so you can tap the flags and go right back to that part of the meeting later. Works great on iOS sucks on android. Other than that , kindle fire is great value. Bought these for my college age son and daughter. Both are very happy with them. We had to return my sons for a replacement as it crashed all the time, the second one is better. Both my son and I always had difficulties getting through books, especially the classics. I tried for years to finish dostyevskys brothers karamazov and tolstoys war and peace, but I buzzed right through these in the kindle format and enjoyed myself tremendously...now I'm reading Tolstoy ,dickens, Cahill's hinges of history series etc.etc.... My son has experienced the same. I know this review is supposed to be about the device and not the format, but I can't say enough about the impact of the kindle format. Tap a word to get a definition...great! Also Like to go into black background and read in the dark.

My mother in law is very happy with the product. Great battery life and the Amazon apps store is growing rapidly. Great option for those looking for an good sized e-reader and tablet.
