I can download books, play games, check email and search the web on one device that fits in my purse. The quality of the screen and ease of use makes it an ideal tablet.

I bought this recently from Best Buy, originally for its small size and weight, for reading in bed, as my full-size tablet is too heavy and cumbersome. I now find myself using it most of the time, as everything works so well.

As my title says, I swapped out an iPad Air for this and have no regrets doing so, especially considering it's $120.00 cheaper. Like any tablet though, make sure you research it and buy the one that you NEED. I'm not a gamer so this does everything I want it to (fortunately you can sideload some apps that are not available through Amazon...and yes, it's 100% legal). I highly recommend this to anyone who's looking for a great, easy to use, tablet. I even bought my wife the 7" HDX and she loves it!

I did mild research on this as I needed it for when I travel instead of always traveling with my laptop. I wanted a tablet that would give me the ability to do online work ok assignments but also great for gaming watching tv etc. I use alt apps instead of Microsoft for school and it works great for me I love everything about it college students traveling and wanting to keep up this is highly recommended!

I bought this as a mother's day gift for my 80 year old +/- computer savvy mother (she has a PC - but no smart phone, no texting). After 1 week of figuring it out - she absolutely loves it! She is not a big reader - but uses it throughout the day when she is away from her PC. She thanks me everytime I talk to her!!

In comparison to the Kindle Fire, the new Kindle Fire HD is amazing. The new sleek and slim design makes it easier to handle and it is a lot less bulky and extremely light weight. The placement of the on/off button and the volume buttons makes it easier to power on and off and control the volume without interruption.

As good as it claims. Nice battery life and great screen but very pricy extra case.

I BOUGHT HIS KINDLE FIRE THIS CHRISTMAS FOR MY HUSBAND. HE HAD THE ORIGINAL KINDLE AND WANTED MORE. IT WAS A CHOICE EITHER THIS OR A TABLET. I THOUGHT SINCE HE WAS FAMILIAR WITH HIS OTHER KINDLE HE WOULD ENJOY THIS KINDLE MORE. EVERYDAY SINCE HIS "SURPRISE" GIFT HE HAS TOLD ME HOW MUCH HE LOVES HIS "NEW" KINDLE.

Replacement for Nexus tablet with broken screen. Overall great quality - videos work great, works well with amazon and amazon prime - of course. I was able to find similar apps to my favorite apps from the nexus. Battery life seems to be pretty good, sound is fine. My only complaints are: it looks like the only browser available is the silk browser. I have no complaints in using it, but I like to have other options. The other thing that I don't like is the adds that pop up when you turn it on - neither is a deal killer for me.

This Kindle was a replacement for an earlier kindle that had possibly developed a battery problem. I just wanted to upgrade. Kindle, Amazon, makes it easy to switch devices, as everything generally just transfers over. The kindle is an easy to operate device that does all of my tablet needs.

I bought the Amazon Kindle for my mother who is not too familiar with a tablet. She took to it like a fish to water. It was easy for her navigate between functions and she is now borrowing and loaning books to her sister. Great Buy! The online extended warranty from Amazon is a better value.

The Kindle Fire HDX is an excellent tablet for doing e-reading, playing games, watching videos or Netflix, and it is easily accessible. The only problem with the KIndle HDX is that you can't change the background images on the machine, which is asinine. Amazon has gotten so greedy to compete with the other tablet companies. There are no customization features WHATSOEVER, and if you want them you have to jump through hoops and risk the internal software of the machine. That is my only complaint about the Kindle Fire HDX.

I have purchased so many different kindles over the years for myself and family members, and I have to say I have never been disappointed. They always deliver what the say. It is user friendly and the directions are easy to follow.

great display, very easy to use but the "HELP" feature where you can facetime an operator is awesome, the operator helped me to setup passwords for the kids quickly. really good battery life (my wife read nearly an entire book on 1 charge )

This is very easy to set up and use right out of the box. The display is very brilliant and makes reading ebooks easy on the eyes/

I love my Kindle. It is portable, great picture and easy to use
