Upon losing my old Kindle, I needed a replacement e-reader and decided to go for the most recent Kindle model available. I hadn't really been considering upgrading before this event, but am now very glad that I did!! Some of the biggest improvements are with screen resolution and battery life. Processing speed on 3G also seems to have improved. All things considered, I'm very happy with my purchase!

I have an IPad and another tablet that I have used as readers. The glare outdoors is a killer - can't see the screen. The mat screen of the paper white takes care of that. It is lighter than the tablets, and the backlighting is adjustable - perfect for reading in bed without disturbing my mate. I don't find any need for all the stuff the other tablets can do when I'm reading. The Kindle is small enough that it is not a problem having it and another computer in my briefcase.

I love Kindle for reading. This is my third model. It was a replacement for one I damaged (thanks for the easy replacement process, Geek Squad). It's so easy to read in sunlight and the backlight is so handy at night.

Replaced old kindle with this one. Love it. Smaller size easier to carry in purse. Love the lite up page feature.

My Kindle touch recently "bit the dust" and I wanted a replacement, so I read reviews and ended up buying the Kindle paperwhite, primarily due to the backlight. So far, I'm very happy with my purchase; has performed as expected.

Great in light, no glare, recommend having the 3G, wonderful overall. two things - cannot change text to white on black, no audio, cannot use for audiobooks.

I love my kindle reader. I can lay in bed while my partner is sleeping and I can see the page so well. I thought I wouldn't really like it , because for years I've been used to reading paper back or hard cover. But it's so light and easy to hold and it has the light built in. It's amazing and I'll only buy books if it's something for the grand kids or if it's something special.

I was going to purchase the Vonage because it was light weight and smaller. After comparing the Paper White side by side, the difference was not worth the additional price of the Vonage. Also, when reading at night using the Vonage, it is very difficult to find the correct spot on the frame to turn the page. The Paper White is crisp and clear. No longer do multiple pages turn when I swipe the screen to turn the page.

This is my 2nd Kindle paperwhite. I love the convenience for home and traveling.

I had a Nook ereader for many years before switching to Kindle. This one is fabulous. Easy to see the screen in all light levels; small enough to carry everywhere!

This replaced my old original Kindle. Compact for travelling. Love the page lighting up. Battery life is excellent

this is my 4th kindle can't find where the list of books comes up the lst one I purchased was stepped on the other 2 did not continue to work properly, kept going ahead and I was always looking for the next page. Hopefully this one will work better. love the 3 G to load books

Its my second kindle. My first finally went kaput. Everything is as expected, but the battery. I literally have to charge it every other day. With my old one, it would last weeks on a single charge! I wish the battery would last better. Love the backlight on it so no more having to worry about light too. My second gen. You had to wake back up and turn the light off lol. This one if you fall asleep reading. No worries!

I purchased my Paperwhite to replace me old Touch when it finally bit the dust. While I love it, I have 2 complaints - 1) No Audio Book Capability - Nowhere in my research prior to purchase did I find anything mentioning that the Paperwhite could not support audio books. Found this out just before a long trip when I couldn't access Audible. To listen to audio books, I now have to use my tablet instead. Definite bummer! . Kindle - Please add this back in!!! 2) I do not seem to be able to purchase books (eg, sequels, other books by author, etc) by clicking on the links within the books. Used to be able to do this with my Touch and used this capability quite often. Now, I have to exit the book, go to the Kindle Store, look up the book/author, etc. Less "ease of use," so to speak. Outside of these 2 issues, I love my Paperwhite.

Everything I could ever want from a Kindle. Only thing missing is that new book smell which I think they're working on. Not one bad thing to say about it.

I had to buy a new Kindle because I lost the last Paperwhite I had. While I love the Kindle, I am disappointed that the latest edition does not have the same active content(i.e. games) that is available for earlier editions.
