I bought this for my mothers kindle and it did not fit even though it was for the 7". I don't know if someone changed it out of the package or none fit. It was on clearance so it was the last one.

I bought this item thinking it would work for the Kindle Fire HDX not realizing there was a Kindle Fire HD between the original one and the HDX. This product does't fit the new Kindle Fire HDX so I returned it to the store. I think it would work great if you have the right Kindle Fire.

Purchased for a Christmas present. From the moment it was put on the kindle fire it caused major problems. Kept rebooting the kindle, would randomly refuse to unlock when we opened the cover, even though that's a feature of the kindle. After a couple hours decided to remove the cover, immediately all problems stopped. Have not put the cover back on since and the kindle works 100% fine. Returning cover to store.

Seriously, it doesn't fit the Kindle HD 7". Says it does, but mine didn't even come close. I wound up returning it and getting a Targus that was a worse design but actually fit my Kindle.

The case looks like it would be great. However, it will not work on my 4th generation Fire HD 7. I wish I had read the reviews first on this item so shame on me there. It would be nice though if they would learn to be more specific in their item descriptions and specifications on Best Buy's webpage. I seem to run into missing information and contradictory information a lot on it. Worse yet is when you take to a sales associate any more and they tell you to look it up on the webpage or look up the information on the webpage themselves.

i got this case because it said it fits the Fire HD 7, it doesnt say it only works with certain generations. this is for the 3rd gen kindles. i have the 4th, not compatible in the slightest. please include generation version information when selling these.
