I just built my first computer, and I gambled with this processor because Best Buy had the deal of the day with this listed for only $99! I jumped on it. I am 4 days into my rig, and I'm so happy with this processor! I have it OC'd to 3.9ghz at 1.325V. It runs at approximately 65 - 72 under heavy gaming loads, with the stock cooler, which is completely acceptable! I am currently using a GTX 1660 ti graphics card, and I can play any game I've thrown at this CPU/Graphics combo at Ultra settings while averaging 100-130fps. I play Gears of War 4, Forza 4, and The Surge at the moment. See pics below for benchmark information. Look how well the CPU performs overclocked!

On my pre-built Tower I had a ryzen 1400... It was okay but wasn't getting the job done. The ryzen 1600 went above and beyond my expectations. With six cores and 12 threads, it has plenty of power. The heatsink that comes with this product definitely gets the job done too. It can also withstand overclocking to a certain extent. Two thumbs up

The AMD Ryzen series are great performers. This model, the 1600X, is a 6-core, 12-thread beast. Paired with the AMD GPU I purchased at the same time, this plays all of my games flawlessly.

This is a great Processor for the price. It has played any game on the highest settings that i've tried and even when hooked up to my 4k tv on 4k resolution, it is still playable. I am really surprised for how good it is.

Because already own a video card, am on a tight budget, don't game and need good multi-thread performance, I purchased the 1600. In a productivity based environment, the Ryzen 5 1600 is incredibly powerful for the money. If your most often used applications require good single thread performance, like gaming, the slightly more expensive Intel i3 9100 would probably be the better value choice. (If you'll be using a dedicated video card and need both gaming and productivity based performance, the somewhat more expensive Ryzen 5 3600 would a GREAT choice - it performs extremely well in both environments.)

I needed upgrade from an FX6300. This added at least 30fps to all my games. The fan is super quiet as well.

Getting six core twelve thread CPU for this price is truly mind blowing, especially because its performs just as good as it looks on paper. I got a stable 3.8 GHz OC on the stock included cooler and couldn't be happier for the price to performance of this chip.

Great CPU for a great price. Mostly used for gaming on AAA titles and it handles everything I throw at it with ease.

I'll sum it up as fast as I can. Easily overclocked to 4.9 ghz with a self contained watercooler from thermaltake. 6 cores 12 threads cant go wrong with a CPU with 12 cores running at 4.9 ghz . Very fast got it for gaming and YouTube videos and when compiling videos way faster not by seconds I mean like I cut 30-45 min off of a 3 hour process so loving that.

I was upgrading my current cpu (ryzen 1400) to this ryzen 5 1600. My ryzen 1400 had performance issues and constant crashes ever since I've had it. This Ryzen 1600 made all that frustration go away. All I have to say is Wow. My old cpu was definitely bad in some way. My Ryzen 1600 has brought new life to my rather new pc. Recommended buy. Two thumbs up here

After years of second rate offerings, I am so happy that amd has come out with a set of gamechanging processors. So far this processor blows away anything else I have and I am happy with it, it just took some doing to get the cpu/mobo/ram combo to all agree with each other. Also I have noticed that the processor gets a little glitchy gaming when the auto overdrive feature is turned on in ram. I can not yet comment on how it performs with manual overclocking as I haven't had the time to get into it. Fortunately I haven't actually felt like I have needed to make time just yet. with ddr4 3000 and an x370 mobo windows 10 boots off a sata ssd in about 12 seconds.

Great CPU for my sons computer. He loves gaming and is getting curious about programming and robotics. This system should take him all the way through high school ( He is only 10). Cool Quite Fast responsive

I upgraded a dual core intel to this it’s night and day difference to be fair the old pc was over 10 years old so it was time but pleasantly pleased with this purchase

Why pay almost double for an Intel processor that is marginal faster than its equivalent AMD. This processor is very fast and keep cool.
