Ryzen 5 is so much faster than my previous AMD CPU. Overclocking is easy and simple to do if you have basic knowledge of overclocking and overall a great cpu to use.

2nd generation Ryzen has excellent performance. Paired with a 20xx series GPU is great combo. The 2600x is a really good budget alternative.

I gotta say that when I got the system up and running I considered giving my co-worker my old system while I took this one with the ryzen 5. The programs that took advantage of those extra cores just blazed though files. I can't wait for my system to die because I'm pretty sure I'll be going from intel back to AMD next round.

I used to foolishly use Intel only but decided to make my own computer and I can honestly say I'll never go back to Intel unless I absolutely needed to. Runs really well and at less power consumption than its competitor. On top of that the stock fan is actually really really good. So that saved some more money too. I would recommend ryzens to anyone building their own computer.

Since buying the Ryzen 5 2600 6core 12 thread processor, I have easily overclocked all cores to 4.0 ghz using a liquid cooling IO. Runs stable and cool with 3000mghz memory clocked at 3200mghz. Rips through games and has no problem maxing out graphical settings with the right graphics card. Not a bottleneck. At it's current pricing it cannot be beat on price to performance.
