If you are looking for a powerful desktop, workstation or gaming processor that is also affordable....this processor covers it all. Works well, runs most big games like Enlisted at 38-45FPS. Great for budgets builds. Make sure to download the drivers to activate the graphics when you install this CPU. My games ran well, I am waiting for GPU prices to drop so this does the job good enough. When playing Enlisted, I had frames up to 45FPS to a steady 37FPS. If you are playing Apex Legends and you are a serious gamer, get a GPU. This CPU ran Apex at 30fps to 26FPS so just grab a GPU for that. And if you for some reason only game on Roblox, this CPU is completely capable of running max graphics on it lol. The shipping was very fast and I love this CPU! I think if you are waiting on a GPU this does the job for a budget gaming CPU…..

Best bang for the buck for an entry level gaming build. Does not need a dedicated graphics card. Can play Fortnite and other games at low fps. Perfect for office and home work. I have this with 16GB RAM and it rocks. Well done Best Buy.

Along with the 5700G, this is a very solid HTPC candidate if on a budget. Usually $80-$100 less than the 5700G, you are giving up 2 cores, and you get slightly-more-crippled built-in graphics with Vega 7. For the price, you get the cheapest Zen 3 Ryzen (so far), and this gets you a lot, but if you can afford the 5700G, I would recommend doing that instead. Comparing to its' sibling 5600X, you give up some L3 cache, 128GB support and PCIE 4.0 support, and in place of these goodies, you get Vega 7 built-in graphics. As with the 5700G, the RAM memory is used for the built-in graphics, so get the fastest DDR4 you can for better built-in graphics performance. I saw the built-in graphics only use 512MB on this CPU, so getting gobs of memory may not help much, but the amount of memory used may be dependent on the chipset/motherboard, not sure about that.

This is probably AMD's best-bang-for-the-buck CPU. 6 Ryzen cores at 3.9GHz is plenty of horsepower even for gaming. The built-in graphics is fine for office apps on a high-resolution monitor and for playing light weight esports games at FHD. Pair this with a good graphics card and it can be a fine gaming system without spending too much on the CPU.

I was upgrading my HTPC and I wanted something with a bit more horsepower and to (for now) eliminate an old graphics card. This CPU seemed like an ideal choice at a good price. I did not need super high clock speeds, although you could probably overclock this with proper cooling. This on-board graphic solution is much more powerful than the Intel CPUs graphic solution, but if into serious gaming, get a discrete video card.

Full disclaimer, I'm not a big gamer. I'm a software developer and 3D printer hobbyist. I was getting tired of lagginess when using apps like Fusion 360 on my old PC. I started looking into building a budget friendly PC that could do some gaming/3D Rendering and decided on the Ryzen 5 5600G. I'm using it without a dedicated graphics card and I have been utterly impressed. This isn't your dad's Intel integrated graphics. This thing can actually play games! I mean, not at the highest settings, for sure. But a lot better than I expected on-CPU graphics to be! And the CPU itself is no slouch either. 6 cores, 12 threads, 3.9GHz base clock with boosts up to 4.4GHz! It makes my old Core I7 look pathetic. I'm happy.

Amazingly fast CPU. The value that you get for the price of Ryzen CPUs cannot be matched. As old as Intel is, I cannot see them continue competing with AMD with the performance we are getting here for these low prices.

Good performance at a great price. Matches nicely with an RTX 3070 build. The stock cooler it comes with is more than sufficient for this CPU. Can't go wrong with building a capable gaming rig around this chip.
