Built my first AMD system with this processor & I am still impressed with the performance. Since these support PCIe 4.0, an NVMe SSD gen 4 is a must. The AM4 socket was different (being used to LGA sockets), but that was the only questionable step during the install. Overall great CPU

Pretty good processor for the buck. I got this with a free copy of assassins creed Valhalla. Besides the promotional deal, It works well with all my games, which on average use a 5th of my cpu. Would highly recommend getting this cpu if youre on a budget and want cpu equivalent to an i7.

My son bought this to go with his 3070 that he was lucky enough to purchase. He previously had an 8350( I do not know what this means) but he told me that he can see a huge improvement. He had no problems with the processor and is very pleased with his choice.

Will probably remain a solid balance between cost and performance until the next generation comes out. This is a solid CPU but don't bother unless you're willing to get decent RAM and a solid mobo. It'll perform similar to a 3600 if you cheap out on everything else ;)

Had been running intel for years and thought a change would be nice. That was a great decision, without over clocking this chip runs stable and can run all the games I play with no issues. If you are thinking of building a machine I would recommend this processor .

Works awesomely, but default fan is a bit weak for simultaniously VR gaming while recording on obs. For regular gaming its fine, even livestreaming regular gameplay is fine, it just gets weird when doing VR livestream or captures with the default fan. So I give 5 stars for being pretty solid.

Not sure what to say that other reviewers haven't already said. I didn't think I needed a cpu upgrade because the fx was just fine but now I regret not doing it sooner. My 5700xt seems to be running faster than ever paired with the 3700x and ddr4 3600 memory.

My favorite processor of all time. This thing will do anything that you throw at it, no problem. OC'd out the gate with juice in the box. This is the 3rd one I've bought now, and they aren't going bad on me, they're just great for almost any build I do. SOLID buy.

Bang for the buck in the 8-core arena easily! have used a bunch of these in recent x570 builds and they will all do 4.2ghz 24/7 with MOST x570 boards. The included cooler is top-notch. Only upgrade if you are going all out with a high end Noctua air cooler or water cooling units.

Upgrading from my aging Sandy Bridge system to this has been amazing. I've been an AMD fan for many years, but knew that Intel was the way to go for the longest time. I can finally return to AMD without sacrificing anything!

I love this processor, it's such a good value for the money. It has the best balance between price to performance. Great for productivity and also acceptable for gaming. AMD killed it with this one! But if you only care about gaming performance, intel is still a little faster.

I upgraded from a Ryzen 7 1700 to the Ryzen 7 3700X and wow what a difference in performance. It's much faster and runs cooler as well. High performance and low power use. Intel is losing sleep over this 3rd generation Ryzen! A+

If you're looking for a cpu that can do it all and won't break the bank look no further. Excellent gaming performance, fantastic media encoding performance, all while remaining cool, quiet, and not requiring a power plant.

Almighty Ryzen for the win. I personally wanted the Ryzen 9, got this CPU instead and it's been wonderful. I have no complaints nor regrets what-so-ever. Not to mention computer parts are becoming so hard to find these days. I'm more than satisfied with this CPU.

I bought two gaming computers the other has i9 the Ryzen works better. I think it’s actually faster though have not done actual test other then we both play the same game in the same room and the Ryzen has less lag. Actually it has none most of the time.

Anyone looking at building an AMD based PC will find a lot to like with the Ryzen 7 3700X. It's basically as fast as the more expensive third gen Ryzen parts when it comes to gaming, and certainly fast enough for most other tasks.

If you need an upgrade from a lower level cpu this will do you wonder the cpus that AMD have made are just top notch now. One thing if you have the extra money just go with the Ryzen 9 3900x and if you don’t have enough for that go for the ryzen 7 3800x for a little more

High their CPU for my computer. Built it my self, and this thing is a beast. I use Adobe premiere to edit 4k videos, and maybe a few games on the side. And I've had no issues. The colors in the fan art also sweet and give my computer a good look

I have been with Intel for my last three build, Intel Pentium D, i7-920 and i7-4790k. Decided to change it up especially with Intel's price so high. Did not regret getting this CPU. Paired it up with the X570 Gigabyte Aurous Elite.
