Best gaming cpu ever!

Amazing processor, beyond impressed! I had a 7800x3d so the gains arent as massive coming from a different processor but where this excels in an upgrade is the temps, 1% lows, single core performance and overall productivoty upgrades. I went from 67c gaming to 54c. Hogwarts legacy i would have 1% low dips below 60fps at 3440x1440p with an RTX 4090. This would cause stuttering, especially in the castle. This has aleviated that and dips arent below 80 now. This processor has been exactly what all the reviewers are praising. If you have the cash this should be your next cpu if your a gamer and want the best of the best!

This CPU is an absolute beast! upgraded from a 7500F, and oh man, the difference is really nice, specially when you go lower graphics. Overclocked to 5.35 MHz, and curved optimized it, with motherboard power limits. didn't go over 85 Celsius on a full load for over 30 minutes on a 240mm aio. 64GB of Ram Clocked at 6000MHz CL30. cinebench R23 score was 23773. which for me, is way more than enough. if you have a chance to grab one, and you have minimun a 4070 Super. you won't regret it.

Amazing product. AMD is killing it in recent generations. I socketed this into an x870e mobo and was getting boost clocks near 5.4ghz with no basic overclocking. -20 undervolt and it still clocks the same with far less heat. I have seen people over clock these things to unprecedented speeds (YouTube). I use an air cooler (peerless assassin) that is more than adequate for this under heavy loads.

Best gaming CPU! I had the 7700x prior, went to 7800x3d and saw this was in stock for just 50 dollars more. i see huge 1% low improvements, runs cooler then the 7800x3d never reached above 73C on peak load stays in between 60-70C when gaming monsterhunter wilds on ultra. Never have stuttering issues, getting 28K score in timespy benchmarks as well. HIGHLY Recommend

Much bigger uplift than I expected from this beast

Pro:
- Much bigger uplift than what reviewers show over the 7800X3D with the right memory tuning.
- Easy to boost to 5.45GHz all-core with Curve Optimizer.
- Memory Context Restore now works with Power Down Mode disabled. The 7000 series can't do that.
Con:
- Can be hot to concentrate 160W on this small, single-CCD CPU. 120W is very cool with much better efficiency.
Reviewers used DDR5-8000 with very slow EXPO timings which masked its potential. If your 9800X3D can do 2200MHz FCLK and DDR5-8000 with buildzoid's Hynix timings, do it. It'll surprise you with its improvement over the 7800X3D in competitive games like CS2. As far as I've seen, it's much more likely to stably do 2200MHz FCLK and DDR5-8000 with the 9000 series compared to the 7000 series. If you can't run 2200MHz FCLK stably, then run 2000MHz FCLK to synchronize the memory controller and the infinity fabric.
I gained over 58% in 1% low FPS compared to the 7800X3D.

What can I say about this processor that you probably already didn’t know. If you’re looking for this specific processor, then you’re doing it for the gaming. Now sure the next level that’s come out l just squeaks it out just barely but realistically you get this right here for this price you’ve got an incredible build. Put this together with an NZXT H9 flow, along with a 5080 Nvidia… two M.2 8 TB SSD, with 32 gigs of RAM and you’re off and running. Of course I added a corsair icue link Titan 360 radiator with LCD screen.. This with the MSI Tomahawk B650. It’s gonna be great. I did wish that the secondary M.2 was the five rather than the four but the speed is still gonna be fine.

With the 9000 series there is no better option for gaming than the 9800x3d. In my runs it has been about 10C cooler than the 7800x3D. The 9950X3D has more cores but with a gap of 200$ you are better off buying a 9800x3D and using the difference towards better fans or even more RAM.

I switched from the 5800x3d to this blazing fast cpu about 3 weeks ago. It performs better than 1st gen of the x3d chip. It was very difficult to get, and when I saw the chance to checkout it took about an hour. I could believe, I waited that long for the checkout process. So if you happen to get it in your cart, just be super patient and do not leave the line. Beats paying more from other places.
I also have it oc at 5400, on heavy loads it peaks at 91° C
so make sure you have a sufficient cooler for it. I have 8 case fans and one dual cpu air cooler, so your cooling situation may differ depending on your case, build and room temperature. All in all the 9800x3d is the next best cpu for gaming and streaming shows on pc.

Ive been on intel since 9900K and have always been a fan of them. Even through the ups and downs of Raptor Lake I stayed committed. I was looking forward to the new Arrow Lake cpus but when the reviews came out I was disappointed, to say the least. This 9800X3D is nothing short of amazing. Sacrifice a small amount of work performance for some of the best gaming performance I've ever seen! If you are like me and find yourself torn then please make the jump to AMD. You will not regret it.

Got this processor based off of many recommendations and reviews for my gaming PC. It is super quick and works as intended. I haven’t had a chance to tweak the settings and boost it up, but will soon enough. It is paired with an X870 Aorus Elite (need to update the bios before trying to boot), 32GB Crucial RAM 6400m/t, and a RX9070XT.

Amazing CPU for the price point when I bought it on black friday deals, it was around 449 dollars. This CPU pairs amazing with my 5070 12GB card. I get 240 fps stable in games like Apex Legends and Fortnite. As well as any older title Call of Duty. It has amazing ray tracing and lighting fx and I havent seen a lot of the older games I play look as good as they do now. It just feels amazing, I also use this CPU for music production of FL studio and no stuttering or crashing.

Best CPU for gaming on the market, and it's also strong enough to multitask for content creation/streaming! Probably the best overall option for an upgrade if you're a gamer, go with the 9950 if you edit massive sized 4k videos & content, but for gaming in 4k - this is the top tier choice! BestBuy also price matched with me and I got $75 off so another good reason for me

With GPU prices high, graphics cards hard to find and minimal gains over the rtx 40 series, I decided to Upgrade my CPU from a ryzen 7 7700x to the 9800x3d now. Do not regret it for a moment even for 4k high refresh rate gaming. Great uplifts in 1% lows. With the 3D v-cache AMD is dominating Intel in gaming. The one issue I had at first were long POST times with EXPO enabled. It took a bunch of tweaks in the BIOS but now system boots in under 10 seconds and stable with memory at 6000mhz

Its an excellent cpu, fantastic speeds, if youre gaming i couldnt reccomend anything better. Im using this with an nvidia msi 5080 and i can play anything at extremely high refresh rates. And for cpu heavy games this is unbeatable. I purchase it while it was on sale, but i would have even at regular price.

Not much to say about this CPU that hasnt been said. One of the best gaming CPUs available currently and my experience has been no different. Solid overclocker/undervolter if you like tweaking a bit to get a bit better performance and lower temps.

Currently running the cpu in a mini itx gaming build. There are a lot of options for undervolting to keep the temps under control. Amazing cpu that will be good for a while!
