Great movie that documents the life of Frank Lucas, the heroin epidemic, police corruption and how money is the motivation for humans to hurt each other.

The acting, the directing, the fact it's based on a true story. All of those things make this a GREAT FILM!

American Gangster is an overlooked gem that many people don’t give enough attention to. Based on a true story, this film boasts great performances from Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. With a stellar supporting cast and soundtrack, this is a great period piece that tells a compelling narrative that incorporates a lot of great elements from classic crime dramas. This movie looks gorgeous when upgraded to crystal clear 4K. Packed with the original special features from the initial release and a free digital redemption code, this is a good set to own if you’re fond of upgrading your collection or if you don’t already own the film.

American gangster is an excellent movie, especially by Denzel Washington. This movie is excellent to watch for all those gangsters. This is the one to look at if those they trying to be a gangster this is the movie you need to look at. Go get it!

This compelling story is a detailed picture of the Rise and fall of Crime figure frank Lucas brilliant acting of Denzel Washington another great performance wasn’t disappointed he really nailed the roll of FRANK LUCAS!!i enjoyed it so much I purchased the film again just to see it on 4K it’s a classic and looks even better on the 4K format I highly recommend this film on 4K ..

Ridley Scott (director) can be counted on for good movies, and here he scores with an "American Gangster", a movie based on true events during the Viet-Nam war era. The story takes place in NYC and tells of the rise of a heroin importer who wants the American dream life and the cop on his trail who refuses to succumb to corruption while many of his fellow narcotic officers do. Great cast and acting--led by Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe; good soundtrack too. Definitely recommended!

Classic Movie. Great film with Grade A Actors. Tape to film transfer was well done.

I did not see this movie in the theater, but was interested after seeing the trailer, GOOD MOVIE. 2 great actors, good story line. Highly recommend.
