If you liked the previous season of American Horror Story, you'll love American Horror Story: Freak Show!!!

From the very first episode this series has embodied the essence of demented, twisted, horror from the comfort of your dvd/blue ray player. With familiar faces from different acting communities.

This is a great series. Clever writing, great acting, top notch directing and production. I also like the recurring cast idea - that was a stroke of genius. I own all seasons and really like in total and think it is a must have for the video library!

One of my favorite seasons! Gory, disturbed, and emotional. Some deaths were really upsetting, but it is AHS after all...

When you are one of the best and most original shows on television, its hard to maintain the same high levels. AHS: Freakshow is the fourth season in the franchise and, while it does not have the same fear factor as Asylum or even Murder House (seasons 2 and 1, respectively), it is still a far better and more original drama than most of what passes for entertainment television. The core cast from previous seasons returns, along with the addition of Neil Patrick Harris and Michael Chikles. What makes the season very worthwhile, even if the plot is not nearly as fearsome as previous installments, is the continuity that it gives previous seasons. No spoilers but we see some old friends pop up in the show, which ties things together very nicely.

I was going to buy this on a service and then I saw how Best Buy was pricing and selling this product and I realized I would much rather have this product. I am scared now when I see a clown because of this when I thought King's It was the ultimate in clown horror. Why you should buy this product though is the extras. You get insight into the story and production not available to those who have watched in in its original run or on a service. It makes the end product that much more impressive.

I couldn't wait to see AHS Freak Show once the season started. Needless to say I was addicted and didn't miss an episode. Freak Show is Gruesome, Dark, Crazy, no holds barred, and has many twists. Freak show did not disappoint in the areas of bloody vengeance with many of the FS characters and outsiders. I highly recommend purchasing all of the AHS Series especially, Freak Show.

I have watched every season of AHS and found this season to be especially gory, shocking and entertaining. The characters are well defined, incredibly acted and remarkably entertaining. Stand out performances by Jessica Lange, Finn Wittrock, Sarah Paulson (as a two-headed girl) and Peter Evans enhance the plot immeasurably. This show is not for the faint of heart. Be prepared to see some pretty graphic and gruesome stuff. In the end, it's a wild carnival ride!

Season 4 of American Horror Story follows the successful principle creates by the 3 earlier seasons, that of, scare the living you-know-what out of its viewers. A heavyweight cast of actresses (Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett, and Jessica Lange) headline the season, but there are plenty of other familiar faces that pop up throughout the season. It's guaranteed that you'll be freaked out about clowns forever after watching the Twisty the Clown story. Good stuff!

The hidden morality in this season of AHS is that everyone deserves respect, but don't come for the morality--come for the absolute creepfest that is Twisty. No more clowns for me! Anyway, there is "some" continuity between seasons, but it is not necessary to have watched other seasons. The trick here is revealing the humanity (sub-humanity?) of some of the "freaks" that we come to know, and at points, love (hate) throughout. If you are not a fan of gore or freaky imagery, STAY AWAY. But, if you can stomach the gruesomeness, go for it!

This is the season 4 of the FX cable miniseries and also the last show for Jessica Lange !!! -The AHS will not be the same without JL :( I really like this season because it was kinda different than the other previous shows. You are able to see The world smallest woman and lots of "freaky "people.. And with the great casts like Jessica Lange,Kathy Bates and Sarah Paulson,this is truly a perfect show to watch...

Once again, American Horror Story excels with it's tale of "freaks" collected, raised, and cared for as part of a dying traveling show. Another dangerous "freak" stalks and kills, bringing suspicion on the innocents but there are supposed "normals" also lurking and eager to join the show. Who are the real "freaks"? You will not be disappounted but you may be surprised. Will there be any happy endings? Watch and see!

This season works much more effectively as an often devastating character piece, one which toys with age old ideas of belonging and perceived differences, while also chasing after perhaps more mundane proclivities like an aging woman's desperate desire for stardom. The series continues to be visually fascinating a lot of the time, and Twisty the Clown certainly joins the already disturbing pantheon of iconic visual frights.

I like watching American Horror Story, haven't seen this season yet so not sure if it's as good as episodes or other seasons of AHS I've already seen (which is why I only gave this a 4-star rating now & will update rating if needed once I've watched it). I just couldn't resist buying this season to add to my personal collection with special price of only $8.99!! Thanks Best Buy! =)

I heard by word of mouth that this was not a great season, However i watched it and thought it was great. T his is one show that you really don't need to watch the previous season to know whats going on. True all seasons tie in together, but each season has new characters and new story lines. This season was unique and had great characters.

Freak Show is my second favorite season of American Horror Story. It has a great story and VERY engaging characters. My favorite feature with the Blu-ray releases is Season Mode, which is like a Play All feature but when you insert the next disc it skips menus and such and takes you right back to watching episodes

I have been hooked on the idea of watching American Horror Story but only recently have I dared to watch it. Am I hooked? Yes. Seems every time a new Season becomes available, I add it to my collection. To me, Freak Show wasn't as tight as the other Seasons, but it was good and after contemplating the events, I figured it out. When will the new Season [Hotel] become available?

American Horror story has always had its share of shocking moments, but episode for episode, 'Freakshow' had shocks to spare. Set in an aging freak show, the season could be brutal to the point of being repulsive, but you could never not look. 'Freakshow' set an awfully high bar to meet in future seasons.
