I had never before seen an episode of American Horror Story and was looking for something new to pop in my DVD player. This was sort of what I expected but, not quite as good as I had heard it would be from some friends at work.

I really like the show. I only gave 3 stars because I like to watch with the subtitles on. So far on at least one episode the subtitles blink on and off, not giving you time to read them.

I got this on the recomendition of a friend . Just started watching the series . It is a little soon for a fair judgement . But so far I am not impressed .

Mi wife keeps raving about this TV SERIES so I figured give as gift and what the heck give it a try. it was entertaining.

I didn't like this series as much as the current one playing. It is still a good series, just liking the current one best.

This series was really weird and hard to follow along, but by the end I understood it and it was a pretty good series.

This first season is probably the most entertaining of them all in my opinion.

The series itself was great and would recommend! Gave a low rating for the packaging the case was broken on the outside and effected the inside of holding the DVDs. To me it was obvious that the person shipping it could clearly see it

Returned this product to the store unopened as the first season disc was unplayable...did not want to risk another bad CD.

This is one of my favorite shows. It sucks you in & keeps you hooked. There are so many twists and mind tricks in this show that once you think you have it figured out, something else happens and you see you were completely wrong. I would recommend this to any horror fan out there. Definitely getting the 1st series and cannot wait for it to come back on TV with season 2!!!

As a somewhat picky horror fan I wasn't expecting to be impressed by murder house but I was happily surprised. The story is just so bizarre and strange I couldn't help but love it, haunted houses, monsters in the basement, etc. AHS takes all these plot elements and blends them flawlessly, in many ways it reminds me of a horror soap opera. The actors are supi th, Jessica Lang of course owns the screen but every cast member is a stand out and thus deserves to return in other seasons.

Wow this show is amazing all around. If you haven't seen it I suggest you try it out. A classic haunted house story with modern twists and plot. Very creepy and dark, and a lot of adult situations. It kept me engaged and entertained the whole time. I love this show can't wait for asylum! Also am really liking that the seasons are more like a mini series with a whole different plot and horror story each season.

This show got me hooked from the beginning, and every week it topped itself, I can't tell you enough about the stellar acting by Jessica Lange. her facial expressions, her body language, she was perfect. The story was great and always had twists as well as being unpredictable. and it was eerie, creepy and at times had you jump out your seat. So horror fans or Jessica Lange fans... i suggest you get this, i know i am for sure!

The DVDs and the packaging are top notch. I like that all 4 DVDs fit in a standard size DVD case (so it takes up less shelf space). The Special Features are interesting. The contents of the 4 DVD Season 1 AMERICAN HORROR STORY are great! Great actors, great script. This is quality entertainment.
