Based off actual events, this remake is scarier than the original movie! A Halloween classic

I like all the older Amityville Horror movies and this one is about the same but modern. Ryan Reynolds normally is a comedy guy but he did well in this.

Went to the theaters when originally released. Great movie would recommend.

As a rule, I do not like remakes of older movies. Most of the time they butcher the whole "feel" of the story! The worst offender being 1999 ' s "The Haunting"!!!!!!!!! Not so, surprisingly, with this movie. If anything, it is a major improvement! The original was a scare fest - for 8 year olds but this one is truly creepy and will have you turning the lights back on, guaranteed!

I enjoyed this movie it’s not perfect but it’s a lot better then the other remakes like a nightmare on elm street that was awful I enjoyed the acting some good gore creepy moments great pickup for horror fans

Great thriller, if scary movies is your thing this movie will not disappoint. Can't go wrong with Ryan Reynolds if you're a fan, he goes way far from his normal funny self to deliver a very believable possessed individual

Better than the original Amittyville, I know it's rare but the original was a chore to sit through it was so boring. This remake however was pretty darn good.

Not saying it's the best Ammityville but it's worth watching...will add it to our annual Halloween list of movies to pick from.

This movie surprised me on how well it is. Ryan and cast do a great job recreating this classic horror tale. Great picture and sound too.
