You are too ubiq to quit. If it says ubiquiti (i.e. amplifi), buy it.

While it states compatible with my network and modem/router this definitely jacked up my network creating a much slower less effective one. I had to return it

I hooked it up by plugging it in and following the prompts as outlined but it refused to come online and is still just blinking blue lights. Not very happy

The mesh net could not extend my signal to the kitchen at the rear of my house. Too many electrical appliances I guess. This item could work for others but not in my house.

I'm not sure I notice too much of a difference. Connection is maybe a hair stronger.

I received the Amlifi mesh point yesterday. Unboxing it might have taken more time than setting it up, it's that easy. I'm using it with my existing router which is an Apple Time Capsule 4th generation. On it's own, the Time Capsule provides way better coverage than my FIOS router. However, due to where my cable comes in the house I am forced to have it on one end and have no mid-point cabling to connect it to. Thus I get a fairly weak signal at the other end of my house. Enter the Amlifi. I set it up roughly mid-point in my house and now the opposite end of my house has gone from 1-2 bars generating speeds on average of 4-8Mbps down/up to 30-40Mbps down and 40-60Mbps up, which is a vast improvement and way worth the cost of this device in my opinion. Not to mention i haven't even had a chance to experiment with placing it in different locations in order to get the best speed on the far side of the house.

Best extender on the market!

I bought this extender after my wife kept complaining of a dead spot in our basement. I admit, I was skeptical about this one, because I've bought range extenders in the past (expensive ones) and ended up returning them because they weren't very effective and always seemed to complicate my network. The reviews on the Amplifi extender were all really positive, so I figured I'd give it a shot. First off, the five-star reviews are definitely warranted. All you have to do to connect, is plug it in, search for the device on your network, enter your network password, and you're done. Unlike other extenders, this one uses the same name as your router, so you don't have to mess around with being handed-off from your router to the extender. The connection is seamless, and the signal this thing puts out is really strong!! Now the dead spot my wife was complaining about has the exact same network speed we get while standing right next to the router!! Mission accomplished!!
My only complaint is that Best Buy has a hard time keeping them in stock. I liked it so much that I wanted to get another one for our upstairs, but it's been sold out for a week now. If you can get your hands on one (I got mine on sale for $98), I highly recommend you buy it. You won't be disappointed!

Excited about my new wifi mesh point. Seems to work better than an average wi-fi extender that I tried in the past. The Amplified app actually displays throughput speed. My internet seems to be faster than normal with a little extra wi-fi range.

Pleasantly surprised. Those wifi deadspots? Gone! No more wifi issues whatsoever and well worth the price. I will recommend this product to everyone I know because it works!! Flawlessly with less than a 45 second set up once you download the supporting android app. to configure it and get going. Thanks Amplifi!!

I loved the initial purchase, but decided I was looking for a little more
Just felt I need a little more coverage to remove a tricky deadspot.
Overall instillation only took a sec and boosted my current wifi's range.
If you are on the fringe remember that the mesh points work with any router!

I brought this device from Best Buy based on recommendation from a sales staff to eliminate no wifi zones in my home. It works fine as long as I reboot it when there is no wifi in my wife's as well a my iPhone. I have to unplug this device and plug back in to get wifi coverage. I have called the company several times and they do not seem to figure it out. I called my internet provider and the IT staff told me that this device seems to have problems. I had missed the return policy time because of travel and I am stuck with it. I would not want to give it away but put it in recycle box to die.
