This movie is such a classic any horror movie fan should own it. I have read that this blu ray version is much better than previous ones released & it certainly is, the HD is crisp & sound is amazing. The transformation scene looks gorgeous & is still the best in any movie today. I was also surprised it was only $9.99 since it was just released.

AWIL is the best werewolf movie winning the academy award for effects. The transformation still holds fine by today's standards. You can see all the effort and hard work put into the special effects. It is eerie and sometimes includes a good laugh. Beware of the moors! The howling of this monster is incomparable.

This disc looks light years better than the previous version of American Werewolf that Universal put out on blu a while back. It couldn't have happened to a more deserving film. Landis' horror comedy classic has never looked or sounded better. Couple that with a genuinely reasonable price tag and you got yourself a no brainer.

This John Landis' 1981 horror/comedy is a stone cold classic that keeps getting better with age. A near perfect blend of scares and laughs, it immediately earned its rightful place as one of the most important horror films (if not films period) ever made that set a new precedent for special makeup effects and genre bending

Cult classic. Good story, good acting and lots of funny/human dialog. The type you or I might have with our best friend if we were eaten by a Werewolf. The special effects are definitely old school. no CGI. but hold up even today. It is refreshing to see them again and it makes you realize how much effort went into these special effects before CGI

I remember watching this movie on VHS when I was young. I remember liking it and that's about all. When I saw it was being released in a remastered form, I was chomping at the bit to buy it. Luckily I found the last one in-store the day it came out. Must have been a full moon, everyone wanted the movie.

I've always been one to love Horror movies, but for some reason I didn't watch this one until I was like 32 years old! The special effects were insanely good for its time and it seriously scared me a good bit! I don't scare easy! This is a great one to repeat to watch over the years, especially around Halloween :)

Wow. This is likely the ultimate version of this classic up until this point. Never has it looked or sounded this good. Fortunately Universal appreciates this title because it got a classy treatment that you don't see too often in today's dwindling Bluray market outside of Scream Factory or Criterion.

This is the new (as of late 2016) blu-ray of AAWIL, and it's head and shoulders above the old release. The picture is much cleaner and brighter with less grain and more detail. If you don't have the film yet, or want to upgrade your old blu-ray this is well worth the small investment!

The picture is great on this release. We finally get the version of this classic we've been waiting for. The picture is pristine and the sound is excellent. If you own any previous versions of this movie its time to trade them in for this one. Its the definitive version in my opinion.

A true classic moved to bluray. Absolute must for your DVD library and there is truly a much better picture on the bluray format. One of the first movies that shows a transition scene to werewolf. Awesome.

Amazing Steelbook.From what I remember this is an amazing movie and I’m very glad to have it in my collection.Being my first arrow Steelbook I’m very glad to have on of those in my collection as well.

Great movie, neat Artwork on this SteelBook Edition from Arrow Releasing. Thanks to Best Buy for stocking this!! Film is very entertaining - rates 7 or 8 out of 10 in this viewers opiinion.

I'm all for the remakes of classics even if the herd of others are against it. Gives the Originals that much more Iconic status and credibility. This one is the more gory and graphic Horror movie. Werewolf movie with a touch of awkwardness added. Can't wait for the remake.

This restored edition of An American Werewolf in London is the copy to own. All of the previous bonus features were ported over from the Full Moon Edition. I’ve owned this movie on vhs, dvd and the prior Blu-ray edition. But this is the one you need to have.

Relive the great classic movie in high definition. This new tranfer to bluray has been cleaned up and the sound enhanced, so it's not like watching it on VHS like most of us did back in the day.

I bought this movie for a great transfer and was very happy after viewing this one. Great classic horror movie! Special effects are still some of the greatest of all times. This is the best I have ever seen this movie and the sound was really good also.

It is great to see this movie out on Blu-Ray! The special effects were ground breaking for the time. It has just enough humor not to make it a comedy. I am a special features fan and seeing Rick Baker creating the transformation effects is great.

This newest release features upgraded picture quality thanks to a new transfer sourced from a new 6k scan of the negative. The results are stunning! All of the extras are intact, making this the definitive release of this classic film. Highly recommended.
