We keep a number of battery bank/chargers for electric needs, but I thought that a dedicated phone charger would be nice to have. This Anker MagGo looked interesting. It is very small. The magnet attaches perfectly to my iPhone 12 even with the cover. Even though it is small, it feels nice and the magnet attaches strongly. It has a fold up kickstand that does feel a bit flimsy and I doubt I will use it, although it may be nice to have. I have used it once to charge my phone from 19% to 100%. It was very quick, maybe 2 hours or so. There were two battery indicator lights still left on the charger, so I’m guessing there’s enough power left to give a partial charge if needed. My biggest concern, it took a long time to charge the MagGo for first use. The second charge was a little quicker. The instruction manual requires a magnifying glass to be read. For my occasional needs, I think this is nice.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I decided to purchase the Anker MagGo battery after a recommendation from a Best Buy employee when I asked about the Apple MagSafe Battery Pack. The Anker is listed as having a 5,000 mAh battery capacity. I decided to test this on my iPhone 12 Pro which is listed at 2815 mAh. In theory, I should get a minimum of 1 full charge and a little more than 50% in addition. So I completely drained my iPhone battery until it shut off and slapped on the Anker MagGo battery. It took exactly 3hrs before the Anker ran out of juice and it only charged my iPhone to 83% and got uncomfortably hot. Very disappointing.

Posted .Please confirm if the battery was fully charged.
In regards to efficiency, all our PowerCores burn 30-40% of their power when they are charging other devices. So the PowerCore II 5000 has 5000mah of power, but the power left for charing your device is in fact 3000 - 3500mah.
Since your device has a battery capacity of 2815 mah, it should be able to charge once with that PowerCore.
