Customers express satisfaction with the Bolt Charger's Bluetooth connectivity and microphone quality, frequently praising its ease of use. However, negative feedback centers on the Google Assistant functionality, with comments citing slow response times and compatibility issues, particularly with iPhones and other non-Android devices. Some users also reported difficulties during the initial setup process. The overall experience appears mixed, with strong positive feedback on certain features offset by significant concerns about others.

Works well, but I have to press the button on the device to make it hear me and when active, the google assistant on my phone is disabled.

You ever wanted a voice assistant in your car but did not want to use the Echo Auto with its wires and less than elegant design. This discreet 'bolt' style usb adapter is amazing. it charges your devices and give you full voice control with the google assistant in your car. no extra wires required.

I have All Google “home”products, and this for the car, BUT my family has iPhones, so some of the “issue” is with the “adaptability” of this product to iOS. When I purchased this, I was not aware that the product’s functionality with iOS was in BETA, so that was an issue. Most of the time it works GREAT!! But it does have connectivity issues here and there. Otherwise, if you HAVE A GALAXY PHONE, it probably would be AMAZING!!

This handy device is an excellent accessory for anyone who wants to have the power of Google in their car. I have an Android phone and I wanted to be able to play music and make calls while driving. This item allows me to do that! It can be a bit buggy sometimes (Google will stop responding, a simple unplug and replug should fix this). But other than that it's pretty easy to use!

I bought this in order to use my Google Play Music premium account in my car, as well as make wireless calls and texts as needed without being distracted. Even though this doesn't offer Qualcomm QC, the intelligent charging circuitry does the trick quite nicely. All in all, this is a great little charger with Google Assistant built in. I'd purchase again. Set up was a breeze!

Pros
Easy to setup and link to Google Assist app on my smartphone.
Aux cable is an excellent way to integrate to the cars stock stereo
"Hey Google" works great while not interfering with whatever I have on my phone screen (Navigation directions Etc.)
Cons
Doesn't offer Fast Charging for Samsung Galaxy phones even if you're using the correct Samsung cable
Allows the buzzing sound in the cars speakers (caused by improper grounding)
Speakerphone calls using the Roav could be much improved, currently not recommended as the caller on the other end hears way too much background noise

Overall it makes you phone's google assistant hear you better despite all the noise while travelling in a car which is awesome in commanding for music, directions and other hands free features. It does not support fast charging though, which is the major drawback on my scoring. If you using your phone on GPS and driving over an hour, youll probably only get about 10% or less of battery life being added.

Pros:
Works fine with Android (Google) Phones.
Cons:
Doesn't work with iPhone.
Car Bluetooth should be always connected (lest say if i'm listing to Radio, and then i want to ask the Google Assistant to open my garage door or check near by domino's pizza, i need to connect/par the car's Bluetooth with the Anker ROAV first, and then do what i need to do with google assistant, then switch back to the radio).

Great device to put into a car with no bluetooth or good car radio. Use this to connect my phone to the radio so that I can listen to streaming services through this device. Hears my voice pretty well even during loud music in the car.

Iv now owned this product for a couple months and its been great with my Pixel 3. The setup was easy, integration with my phone and apps is easy, mics pick up well with volume isn't too loud. Small bugs at first, like the voice would change tones randomly. But nothing that is preventing me from using this product.

I love this little device. I pair it with my Samsung Galaxy s10+ and it works flawlessly. It auto connects when I turn my car on so no stressful reconnecting. I use it a lot for directions since I can just use my voice and to play music through my cars speakers wirelessly. I highly recommend.

I like this unit for making it possible to invoke Google Assistant without removing my phone from my pocket while driving. It sometimes has difficulty connecting to my phone without a power cycle. I think it would be far more useful if my car had Android auto, as it would seemingly connect directly to it to load maps, play music and such. But it does fine for just having access to my phone.

I do have some connectivity issues. Specifically it's slow and sometimes can't figure out which contact I'm trying to tell it to call. It also isn't super easy to respond to texts and often will text the wrong person. That could be a Google Assistant issue and not the Bolt. Either way, it's annoying.
I do have to yell sometimes for it to hear me and that's just bad.

Bought this item for my wife and she seems to like it well enough. The one gripe she has is that it seems to skip the first song on an album randomly. Other than that the device works as advertised. Music and receiving calls sounds good. Making calls sound okay and the mics pick up very little background noise. A nice addition to a car with aux input and no bluetooth.

I had high hopes for this, perfect case with an old car and poor bluetooth quality. The idea is great, but there are lags, specially when used for a phone call. People were complaining about connection quality. Streaming music works very good, so if you want it to stream music it might meet your expectations. I ended up returning it after one week, maybe future software updates would fix some of the problems i exprienced.
