SoundCore Flare is AHHHMAAZing!!!!!

This little devil arrived about a week ago on my doorstep and let me tell you, it's mighty freaking awesome.
Upon the opening the package you will find obviously the speaker enclosed, a micro-usb charging cable as well as the usual user manual documentation.
Connecting the Flare to your phone or TV is pretty much self-explanatory if you've ever used Bluetooth before. Once connected, turn up the volume.
The Flare also comes with a companion app (Soundcore) that can be downloaded via the App Store for iPhone or Google Play Store for Android (blah, lol). The app allows you to update the firmware and allows you to adjust light effects and equalizer settings.
Sound quality is amazingly clear considering how small this speaker is. Its packs a punch in a small form factor. On top of the speaker are controls for power/bluetooth, the lights which thankfully can be turned off, and up and down for volume.
I would definitely recommend this speaker to anyone looking for a great small speaker that packs a punch for its price.
The only other thing I wish was in the box was a charging adapter.

This is nice speaker. It sounds good but compared to my Sony SRS XB41 and LG PK5 it is lacking a little. As far as portability it's a good one, it's way more portable to take this than the Sony SRS XB41but the LG PK5 can literally go anywhere due to it's rugged construction. Placing it in a room it'll blend in well since it looks like an Amazon Echo. Doesn't look as nice as the Sony but is way better than the LG.

Sound is deeper than other small portable Bluetooth speakers that I've used in the past. Can get pretty loud, battery life seems like it'll last a few hours. Lights are fun, but don't add much. Great little speaker!

I couldn't be happier with this speaker. The sound is great, the battery lasts forever and the build quality seems to be top notch. The LED lights are pretty cool as well. For such a small speaker the volume is pretty impressive. The app is pretty useful as well, it lets me change the EQ as well as adjust the LED lights. Since this speaker is water-resistant I cant wait to take it to the pool and beach this summer. I have been a fan of Anker for sometime now, but they really have impressed me with the Fare.

Anker’s new Soundcore line of speakers and headphones have caught my attention, but one of the most intriguing products I’ve seen is the Soundcore Flare. I initially just liked how it looked, but after reading the specs, I had to give it a shot.
On first glance, the speaker is really sleek. It looks and feels like something that should be expected in a speaker at a much higher price point. The speaker is IPX7 waterproof, so you can definitely bring it to the pool without being worried about water damage.
Pairing was exactly what you’d expect if you’ve ever used a Bluetooth speaker or headphones. The Soundcore Flare has a companion app that allows you to manage light modes, volume, EQ settings, and update the firmware of the speaker. The amount of control you can have over how the speaker looks and sounds is fantastic.
Lastly, sound. This speaker sounds AMAZING. Very unexpected from a speaker at this price point. I’m no audiophile, but the deep bass, balanced treble, and 360-degree audio make for a very pleasant listening experience. It’s possible to pair two of these together for full stereo sound, so I’m already tempted to invest in another Soundcore Flare.
If you’re looking for a Bluetooth speaker that sounds great at a very affordable price point, I’d highly recommend the Soundcore Flare.

A good little speaker for the money

Bluetooth speakers are EVERYWHERE!! As with most things, you get what you pay for, but this little speaker seems to give you more for your money.
The design is cool. It projects sound in 360 degrees meaning it sounds the same no matter where you stand. It is a diminutive speaker, but VERY heavy for it's size. I like it because the weight lends toward stability so it won't fall over when bumped. Pairing my phone with the speaker was a piece of cake with the app. The app allows you to change all kinds of settings from the lights (different mood settings that pulsate with the beat of the music) and equalizer settings to make the output sound exactly how you like it.
The sound is better than average thanks to the EQ settings. That being said, it seems like it could be better. The bass boost doesn't seem to do much, but the speaker is loud enough and the sound is pretty clear. All in all, this is a great little speaker for anyone.

I recently took this with me to Vegas
I had this little guy playing while everyone was pre gaming and getting ready for the night and it was enough power and sound to do the job.
Sound quality is great!
Pretty Loud for it being small.
Compact so it fits in your bag and even pocket.
Battery lasted a very long time.
I like that I can turn off the light to save battery.

Yes it is! This is a pretty cool little speaker. The sound seems to eminate from every direction.
OK, it's not Carnegie hall quality but it's pretty good for by the pool, on the beach, or on the boat.
BTW I couldn't resist tempting the waterproof fates and dropped the SOUNDCORE FLAIR into the Atlantic. No problem. Ha, the sound based light show attracted a few little fishes.
For the money it's a pretty nifty package if you're going to be outdoors, especially near or on the water.

This is a great multi-purpose speaker as it can be used at the beach, pool party, smaller rooms, to name a few. I found the speaker to be easy to pair as the lights beckons for disco fever. The sound is fairly good for a speaker of this size. It has very good bass, as such I believe it can rise to any occasion and give a great listening experience. I would like to commend Anker on producing a product with great features at affordable cost.

Over the years I have used a ton of anker products and the soundcore flare continues the Anker tradition of making great products. The battery is impressive, bluetooth paired quickly and was very stable. The 360 degree sound is great although, it can use some tuning. Luckily, they included that capability in the soundcore app. If you are looking for an entry level bluetooth speaker with a great lightshow, you won't be disappointed.

Bluetooth speakers are everywhere, so much so that many of us are on our second or third at this point. They all sound pretty well, a few years ago, some manufactures started offering waterproofed options, at a huge premium. Now, with Anker, you can get a great waterproof speaker with many more features. I have had many, many speakers, but I have found myself consistently coming back to the SoundCore 360 lately, and I can't speak for it enough.
Pros:
- BUY TWO. These things can pair up using the soundcore app and work in stereo. This is great for parties where you want to fill a large space with sound or even a gathering where you need sound in a couple of rooms!
- Waterproof. Will you always need it? Probably not. Will you be glad you had it when you leave it outside, heck yeah!
- Sounds Great! I should have this as the top review point, but they other features rock so hard.
- Customizable via the app. Change lights, EQ values, it's your speaker to mess with.
Cons:
- If I had to anything negative, it's that the cover flap that conceals the micro-usb charging port is a little tough to open. I normally have to grab my keys to pry it open.
This thing is great and will be a staple at all my parties this summer.

What a nice product. What a surprise. I am a big Sonos user - so everything in terms of streaming music seemingly gets compared to one of the Sonos products. Now I know this is a bluetooth portable speaker - and the Sonos is not - so let’s just leave that alone.
This is another free product from Anker via their PowerUser program. I have reviewed quite a few of their wireless chargers - but never one of their bluetooth speakers. Soundcore is Anker’s audio brand and while they sell budget friendly offerings - they are still pretty good. I played a range of songs through this speaker - and while it won’t win any awards from the audiophile world it is great at what it is - something I would take to the beach with me and not worry about it getting soaked.
The speaker is decent size, easy to set up, and waterproof (IPX7.) I have yet to test it’s waterproof claim, but I will. The interesting (yet not totally needed feature for me) is the ambient LED lighting. It’s cool - and will make for some fun conversations if this thing made its debut at a party - but that is it.
Anker is also touting a mobile app for tuning this speaker. I haven’t put too much time in to playing with the app - but it seemed pretty basic. You can control the LED light and also set different playback EQ modes.
All in all - this a fine speaker for its price point.

at the price tag its not a bad deal. the sound was not the best but not bad either. it puts out evenly for a 360 which is a plus. the lights are nice but I did not see a way yet to just pick your own actual colors. so you have to pick out of different patterns that the unit and app have.
if you want a fun little speaker that is water proof, and has some lights with it, this speaker is that.
pairing was easy to do with my phone but doing it with wifes phone (I use iPhone she has Samsung) took a couple times.

I have quite a few Soundcore/Anker products and they never fail to impress. I could honestly do without the light show, but I'm sure some people could appreciate it so no points lost there. For me it's all about the sound quality. From earbuds to these speakers, Soundcore always delivers. The sound is clear and has plenty of bass. I love that the speaker is 360 so I can put it in the middle of the group and everybody can hear it. The battery life has been great on it and connecting it to my phone is a breeze. I have the UE Boom 2 to compare to and the Soundcore Flare can definitely hold it's ground to a speaker that's twice the price.

Buying/using only one speaker will probably offer enough great sound for most people. I wound up buying 2 speakers and use them in stereo mode around the pool, mostly. Plenty of volume and the quality of sound is awesome...plenty of people compliment the sound they are hearing. The app has worked flawlessly and offers many features to control the speakers. Being waterproof is a great feature as well. Highly recommend the Soundcore Flare.

I've been using this speaker while working outdoors for the last month and am completely satisfied with its performance, especially at such a modest price. Controls are intuitive, pairs easily, stands up to rain, nice looking, and offers good, strong, clear sound. No complaints so far.

This speaker is fantastic. Great build quality, I prefer the sound of the Soundcore vs the JBL Charge 3. Its more balanced. I'm tempted to buy a second one and play them in stereo mode. This might just be the best buy in the $50 to $150 price range. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
