This movie def confused me! At some points but over all was interesting!

Don't know how Best Buy has an exclusive on the 4k of this, but I guess if anywhere has to have it I would prefer this store. Quality flick from the guy who brought you Ex Machina. In 4k HDR this movie is even more trippy looking, in the best of ways let me tell ya. All I can say is that when I saw Kendrick Lamar in concert after seeing this, he used the main song from this soundtrack to come out on stage to. If that doesn't tell you all you need to know then I don't know what will.

Did not read up on this movie before purchase and did not care for it

This movie was SO weird, but in such a good way. I love movies that don't hit you over the head with unnecessary exposition. This movie just kind of throws you in and shows you what's going on without holding your hand. The story is interesting, the acting is great, and the visuals are amazing in 4k.

I went in without knowing much about this film and it turned out to be a great movie. From the visuals, to the performance of the actors the movie delivers, it does a great job keeping you on your couch waiting for the unexpected. If you are a fan of sci-fi, you should give this movie a chance.

I love this movie. One of those rare movies for me which keeps me glued to the screen even though it's not cranking out huge action sequences and whatnot. The colors are wonderful and for that reason alone justifies the UHD because you need to capture the colors of the "shimmer" throughout the film. The audio is excellent and helps fuel the scene which won scariest moment of 2018.

I thought this movie was original and well directed. Only flaw I could find is an over reliance on cgi in the final act. Also, don’t go into this thinking it is an action/Sci-fi movie, it is more of a meditative thoughtful sci-fi movie, with splashes of horror thrown in, which I found effective.

This film was weird but in a good way imo I had a good time

Annihilation evoked the same type of reaction that I had when I first saw "Alien"...(except they can hear you scream)...If your looking for a feel good alien contact movie, this isn't it. But, if you want to see the dark side of alien contact, and have a good scare, this is a movie for you.

Not a movie I would buy at full price if I seen it first

You probably read about it before; this is not just another scifi thriller. This one adds an existential profoundly deeper insight into the human race and what makes them tick. At the same time it thrills and entertains, with some jumps and scares and great special effects. Give it a try!

Slow paced movie however still had terrifying scenes

This was an amazing movie (with a magnificent soundtrack). It hit all the right notes visually and aurally. The story is engaging and makes you think. Some very far out visuals and even a little action to boot. This is a must have for fans of movies such as Arrival, Contact, etc...

Interesting movie with a stellar 4K Transfer good film

I watched this on Amazon Prime Video on a whim and totally loved it. Didn’t expect this movie to be as smart and odd as it ended up being. Glad I watched it and even more happy that bestbuy.com still carries it since my local store didn’t have any in stock. Now I have a copy to force all my friends to watch and get people taking about it! Highly recommend this one if you haven’t seen it yet!

The book is a Nebula award winner. I read the book first. The movie is a fair but not great adaptation of the book. However, the acting and special effects were good. The story line may have been a little hard for some people to follow.

Natalie just gets better as an actress. A must see!

Excellent, this is probably the best Sci-fi movie of 2018. It's a thought driven Sci-fi that plays like a disturbing but not entirely unpleasant dream. Totally amazing perspective of alien form of life. Natalie Portman is great and the rest of cast is excellent as well. I really enjoyed it!

The plot was different - hard to stay with the movie

I did not see this movie in the theater. Just because the guy that wrote/directed Ex Machina did this movie, I just went ahead and bought it. It wasnt as good as Ex Machina but it still had be every step of the way. Great performance and a cool story. Worth checking out!
