Being a big fan of the director's previous film "Ex-Machina", i was excited to see this film. Different than "Ex-Machina" but still an intelligent, thought-provoking movie like the previous film.

An intellectual and stunning SCI-FI thinker. Great special effects and several layers of messages to ponder. Would probably be just as rewarding in Blu-Ray although I watched the UHD 4K version.

I loved ex machina, which was also written and directed by the same guy, so I had to get this movie. It is not my favorite movie but it does have its cool moments

Iusuall6 will buy any sci fi movie that has great actors in it bu5 believe me this movie was totally worth it, I thought first of all that th3 story was actuall6 a good story, the actors and acting is superbly fantastic you couldn’t ask for better actors. It had perfect moments of action and awesome cgi well directed.

Annihilation is a novel offering in the alien invasion genre. Visuals are stunning and the story is interesting. If you're tired of giant monsters and robots, you should enjoy this movie.

Interesting concept spoiled by unlikable characters in a bleak situation. A few set pieces will stick with you, but not in a good way. Purchased, watched once, and sold pretty quickly.

This was quite an interesting movie. It starts off as a fun mystery, but as it progresses you will start to question everything. I am still thinking about how strange that ending was.

This was a movie I knew would look good with the 4k treatment. Very engaging story and the imagery 4k looked pretty good save for a couple of parts. Overall this was a fun movie to watch.

Natalie Portman is always demanding in her scenes. Excellent cast and well delivered performances. Everyone was on the mark with this film. The story is interesting and keeps you wondering. The changes from the book are not so bad considering it needs to be adapted into a film. I thoroughly enjoyed this film.

Seemed like this was a common theme styled movie, playing on our curiosities of the unknown. Natalie Portman did an okay job in her role but it lacked her panache from prior roles.

I bought this movie because it was at a good price and I knew nothing about it going in. I was pleasantly surprised. Overall, it was one of the better movies of 2018 in my opinion.

Beautifully shot, an instant classic score fi. Natalie Portman never lets us down, she cokes thru in every thing we see her in.

The reviews for this one seem to be really divided. Personally, I loved it. I think it was thought provoking, the visuals were interesting, and the entire premise was just... cool. If you like science fiction, definitely look into this one and make your own choice about whether you like it or not.

This film looks markedly better in 4K than blu-ray. It also has a great sci-fi plot, with a group of women on a secret mission to an area of the world where things don't occur as they should. I highly recommend this film, for both the plot AND the noticeable uptick in video quality over the blu-ray version.

Seems like we've seen this before. Audio and video in 4k were good story was a dud

The acting and effects for this movie were exceptional. The story was very deep and intriguing. The movie did trudge along at the beginning, but got better as the film went on.

Annihilation is a fun ride with an excellent soundtrack and lots of awesome visuals. It's a must see sci-fi film that had my girlfriend and I humming a specific tune from it to this day.

This is a fantastic release I compared the Blu-Ray to the 4K It's not even close the 4K picture with HDR is way better I noticed colors that I didn't even see in the theatrical especially the colors in the shimmer If you are a fan of this movie This is the definitive way to view it highly recommended

There were times while I was watching this movie, I was bored, and other times was drawn into the story. A mixed bag for me, I know I will watch it again, but a ways down the road.

Alex Garland follows his 2014 little gem, "Ex Machina" with this truly mind-blowing science fiction masterpiece that seems to blend Tarkovsky's Russian art film, "Stalker" with Kubrick's "2001". This is for intelligent fans of the genre and will keep you thinking about it for days after seeing it.
