    Best air Mover EVER!

from what ive been hearing is that the average temp for a dual slot graphics card is between 60-70deg C. I have never got my GTX260 (stock GPU clock 590mhz)above 46deg C!! and that temp was recorded just after a 10 min Future Mark benchmark overclocked GPU to 657mhz!!!! thats a 67mhz jump! HUGE! and never touched 47deg C. I was compleetly floored. From there i gathered my fogg machine to see how well this thing really moves air, what 357 cfm is really like... well normally when you do this what will happen is the fogg will get sucked into the intake, float around in the pc for a bit untill it finds the exhaust fan. now with this thing... the fogg never stoped! it just BLASTED right in the pc and right out, never even slowed down, The top fan looked like a smoking chimney on a house... with a turbo in it lol see the pc for yourself in all its modded glory click the youtube link.

    Overall Excellent Case

For my first real enthusiast build I wanted one of the best air cooling cases money could buy. As a first-time overclocker, I didn't want to venture into the water-cooling arena ... yet (even though this case has rubberized ports for tubes on the back just in case!) I wanted to overclock, and I wanted good cooling, but for simplicity's sake, I wanted to do everything with air for now. It's a fairly roomy mid-tower case. It will accommodate most power supplies just fine. It is a bottom-mount system. This is good for cooling purposes, but may be controversial for some who prefer the standard top-mount for their PSU's. My 8800GT easily fits with enough room behind it for cable routing. I currently have two SATA hard drives in it. There is room for 4 more hard drives. My three external bays are taken by two optical drives and a 3.5" card reader. This is one of the most time consuming cases I've ever owned. You have to remove EIGHT thumbscrews to remove the hard 3.5" hard drive enclosures. Then, instead of a screwless drive mounting system, you have to use four more screws to mount each hard drive. I've seen $59 cases that have screwless designs. Antec could've done a lot better. The only positive point of their system is that everything indeed is solidly mounted once you get done. The external 3.5" adapter (makes your 3.5" floppy/card reader fit the 5" bays) was a complete PAIN IN THE NECK to install. I had to use my drill to make holes in the plastic adapter so my card reader would fit right, and so that the adapter would fasten properly into the 5" bay and line up with the optical drives and the rest of the front of the case. I wonder if others have had this problem... The instruction manual is an utter joke. They should've included way more detailed descriptions and instructions, and more demonstrative pictures would've helped, too. The instructions didn't really help me much. I felt like I was on my own. Not the first PC I've build, so I made due. Once I got everything installed, the fun truly began. I have all fans set to low, and they are so quiet. We have the computer in our bedroom, and you can hardly hear it while in bed. When you are next to it, you don't hear fan noise, just the faint movement of air. This is one of the finest air cooling cases I've ever used. You stick your hand inside and feel the air flowing quickly through the case, keeping your expensive components very cool. The 200mm exhaust fan on top pushes so much air, but with little power drain and virtually no noise. Two front LED 120mm fans draw air in over your hard drives - very smart design - and the 200mm and a rear LED 120mm fan draw air out. I installed an optional 120mm fan on the transparent side panel. Installation was easy, there - popped right in. The case has very handsome looks. Black metal with mesh coverings over blue LED fans, along with the transparent window to show off your system's innards make for a very attractive looking device. Everyone that seen mine has been very impressed - whether male or female. It's not heavier than you would expect. I have so much inside that my components probably outweigh the case. Overall, my experience has been excellent. The problems I had while installing were overcome with a little time and effort. Most owners will be very pleased with this case. The cooling, reliability, and solid build quality more than make up for the small inconveniences in the beginning. The front input ports work perfectly and have extremely convenient placement. There is also room for a fairly large CPU cooler. The bottom line - this is arguably one of the best cases for air cooling. I have seen temperature tests that verify that the Antec Nine Hundred actually cools your components better than the Thermaltake Armor cases - an impressive feat for a mid-tower. There is room for dual graphics cards, a large PSU, 2 optical drives, 1 3.5" drive, and 6 hard drives, and enough stock-included high quality fans to keep things cool. I definitely recommend putting a 4th 120mm fan on the side slot. It cools my graphics card even more!! System Specs: Antec Nine Hundred & NeoPower Blue 650w PSU, Abit IN9 32x-MAX 680i motherboard, BFG 8800GT, WD SATA 160GB & 250GB drives, 2 DVD/RW, card reader, Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU cooler, Core 2 Quad Q6700 @ 3.33GHz, 8GB A-Data DDR2 @ 1000MHz

Awsome case, I wanted this case forever and finally I got it and it amazing!, Great airflow, up to four 120mm fans, looks awsome, and I have never felt hot or warm air leaving the case, it stays cold! My system idles at 32C and 35C when under load. For my Cpu is different story though, I just need a new CPU fan then its all good. Modular, Sleek, Surprisingly quiet with all the fans going at full speed. I have put 5 different systems through my Nine Hundred so far, and it has been quite enjoyable, as far as ease of doing so. The case comes with plenty of screws, very solid, and very easy to change how it is set up. You can put a lot of things in the 9 bays, and it will handle some pretty big heat sinks. The fans are large, so they don't have to spin fast to move a lot of air, on low they are very quite, at full blast, they still don't disturb the room much. The finish is quite durable, and the blue lights look real nice in the dark. I am reaching the limits of the Nine Hundreds size (not easy to do) and plan to upgrade to the new and even bigger Twelve Hundred as soon as Best Buy gets them in stock :) The Nine Hundred will do most gamers, and high end grpahics users well. Dust is a bit of a problem, but with this much airflow (and my dusty house :P ) that's to be expected. The internals stay pretty clean cause of all the air movement, but the front and side need to be brushed every so often to keep it looking slick.

    Superior Product

I have built Dozens of computers since the 486 days. I love trying out new cases. Currently this is my favorite!!, (Mid tower case). It comes with 3 120mm fans, (all 3 speed) and a Gigantic 200mm fan, (also 3 speed). It can also accept 2 additional 120mm fans. The front panel can handle 6 hard drives, (in the form of removable drive bays), plus 3 , 5.25 drives. (you could put 5.25 devices in all 9 bays if you wanted). The 2 front fans have very nice low intensity Blue LED's that give the case a tasteful blue glow. But you can always add brighter LED fans and give it the total Vegas look too. This case has gobs of room, it is well a layed out and is very reasonably priced. Minor issues.... Rev 1 of this case, (released in 2006) had clearance issues with the first card slot if you had a video card in slot 1. (I had to "adjust" the clearance on my rev 1, using a hammer and punch, took about 30 seconds). This was fixed in later revs so this is no longer an issue. No Handle.. I like handles on my cases. This has none, (minor issue). I mounted one on the top of the case. (a trip to the hardware store, bought one handle, 4 allen head countersink style screws and 4 nylock nuts. Drill 4 holes.. Done Deal!). This case is large enough for almost any computing project. (Ok, not for my main machine.. I tend to go over the top on My Primary Case.. I has wheels, weighs a ton and is a bit ugly). This is sharp looking and should be at the top of anyones list for case choices. Trust me.... I love this case! Sluggo (P.S. Saving a few bucks on a cheapo case is a bad investment. A quality case like this will last for many years)!

This is a great case. Very quiet fans, the 120 mm really push a lot of air on slow speed. There's also room for a fan on the side panel and behind one hard disk cage. No major issues for room. Power supply on the bottom is just amazing. Only major issue is dirt. Moving so much air, air carries dust, it can really cake components if you don't stay on it and keep it clean.

    Very Solid Case

There have two variations of this product, I will call them Generation 1 and Generation 2. I bought the Generation 1 version about two years ago. I was immediately impressed by its most unique feature: a 200mm fan on the top of the case. At the time I had seen nothing like it. This case has numerous places to put fans. On top of the 200mm, there are spots for six 120mm fans. This case is a gamer's dream. I have yet to see a graphics card that will not fit. I run all of my fans on low and the case is still very frigid inside. It is also fairly quiet for such a large amount of airflow. Playing a game or watching a movie is a pleasure as you cannot hear the case at all. The only problem I had with the Generation 1 case was that they cut the metal incorrectly and it did not allow for large DVI (Digital Video Interface) Cables to fit properly. The Generation 2 (Which all Best Buy's have had for over a year) fixes this issue. All in all, this case is wonderful. If you are a gamer, or just a computer builder who wants alot of room, go for it.

    This is a Must Buy

To start off i must say that the ONLY downside to this case would be its weight (in my humble opinion). The size is great; spacious enough for some space demanding projects. My favorite feature has to be the fans. All 3 of the 120mm fans and the 200mm fan have 3 speeds. It keeps my parts cool and runs incredibly silent. Sometimes i forget my computer is on while I'm reading or doing homework. I'm so used to my old computer's humming. It is great to finally have some silence! Some of you may be thinking something like: "why so much for a case?" Well, you pay for the quality. I've gone through many cases before, but this was definitely worth the price! I recommend this to anyone who wants a spacious case that will keep their systems cool and quiet.

    Awesome case for high-end/gaming computers

This is an awesome case. Before i had the XG Viper 2 case but my water-cooling system wouldn't fit there so i got this one. It has more space than I will ever need. The airflow is amazing. What the picture doesn't show are the two openings in the back of the case for the tubing if you have WC system. Although it says that you can take it to lan parties, it's too heavy to even move it on the table (considering you have all the components inside). If you have this case and thinking about a motherboard, get the BFG nForce 680i SLI ($329.99). It fits like a glove.

    Best Mid-Size Case

I recently built my new PC using this case and I haven't regretted it. It's a great case w/ plenty of room for working. It comes with 4 fans with two more mounts for two more fans (I would suggest Antec Tri-Cool 12cm). The LEDs work and cast a nice blue around the room. The dog tray feeder is nice for little oddities and a easy to reach USB, firewire, audio plug-ins on the top of the case (if you decide to plug them to the mobo). The sound that comes from the fans can get a little annoying after a while on high, but no biggie. Make sure your PSU has long enough cords because this case is inverted (meaning the PSU rests at the bottom) and make sure you have your fan facing up. Plenty of space to stash loose wires and for an 8800, may get a little tight for 2 though. Overall a great case that deserves all the attention it gets with just a few minor flaws subtracting from its perfect score.

    GREAT gaming case

I bought this case around Christmas 2007 for my first build. The lack of a removable motherboard tray is the only thing I'm unsatisfied with...but the rest of the features of this case more than make up for it. There is a TON of space inside this case. Like another reviewer said, no room for 3-way SLI, but that's about the only wall you might hit. I'm running 2 750gb HDD's with plans to add 4 more, dual 512mb nVidia 8800GT graphics cards, a single DVD-RW multi-drive with plans to add a system monitor/dashboard and another optical drive of some sort, a Thermaltake TMG i2 CPU cooler, 2 120mm intake fans on the front, 1 120mm intake fan on the side, 1 120mm exhaust fan in the rear, and of course the HUGE 200mm exhaust fan on top. Everything I have plans to add, I can do so without having to rearrange a single thing in my system. There is THAT much room. Also, I'm running 6gb RAM (2x2 and 2x1) and a 3.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. No overheating. As long as you keep the dust cleaned out of the case (it does pile up pretty quick), you're good to go.

One of the good decisions I've made

I recently built a new PC and luckily chose this case for it. It is one of the best PC purchases I've ever made, worth every penny. Lots of room on the inside (although I haven't tried SLI yet, but there seems to be enough extra space), GREAT airflow, and an extremely sturdy design. As some other reviewers have mentioned, you need a power supply with long cables (the OCZ GameXStream PSUs work nicely, that's all I've tried). I have it sitting on my desk and the fans on high because I'm a better-safe-than-sorry kind of guy, so it's a bit loud but not unbearable by any means. And it is heavy! But that's how you know it's good... or was that if it's made with bits of real panther??.... Anyway, go ahead and add it to your cart, it rules.

    Keeping it cool

This is the best case that I have used to date. The fan on top keeps my case so cool that my other fans do not need to run. The two fans that come in the front stay off 95% of the time. The interior of this case is very nice and easy to move around. I do recommend getting a newer power supply that has a longer motherboard power cord. The placement of the power supply at the bottom of the case makes it a little difficult to get the board plugged in with older power supplies. That is the only shortcoming to this and did not prevent me from installing anything. I would definately recommend this case to any gamer that is not looking for a LAN case. The air-flow will keep most anything cool. This is a VERY quiet case.

I'm a nouveau nerd and only recently began building my own PCs. I don't game, but I still get a thrill building a thinking machine that works and operates decently. I was going to skimp on a case in order to beef up my components. Instead, I picked up this housing, which is still moderately priced. What I received went above and beyond my expectations. Ample internal space. Tremendous airflow. Sleek design and color. On the bad side, the case is a bit heavy, but I'm not using it for shot put practice. The perforated front and top might result in dust build up in less clean environments--but you can always create a filter solution. Also, the duct feature is pretty useless if you have large PCI components. But that goes for most modern cases. I always tear them out and use them as wristbands. For all of you who swear against water-cooling, this is the case for you.

Minus the fact that it is a little bit too compact, (had a hard time fitting 3 hard drives, 2 cd drives, and my liquid cooling unit plus all the cables...) it is an amazing piece of hardware. 200mm fan on the top draws cool air down over the motherboard, 120mm fans on the back, front and side of the case (side fan is optional and needs to be purchased separately) blow the air over vital computer components, such as the video card, CPU, hard drives and cd drives. Blue LED lights in the fans give it an amazing glow, even during the day Highly recommend this to anyone looking to make their computer cooler than before, my idle temp went from 35 degrees on the cpu, down to 28 idle, and the RAM went from idle at 40 degrees down to 25, so this thing does its job better than expected.

Very nice case. I wouldn't recommend it though if you take your case with you to a lot of places. I almost threw my back out when i picked it up after i installed everything. Very Heavy. Great room for a mid size case, unless you have an older power supply then you might have some problems with cables reaching where there supposed to. Other than that its a pretty great case. Even with all the stuff i have in it the case it keeps it self very cool. Great cooling especially if you like to overclock. Would recommend this case for anyone who wants good cooling and decent room for a mid-size case. Very sturdy also.

This is simply the best looking case I have ever owned. Sleek appearance. Lots of blue LED fans. Not tool-less but not too bad to install. Solid when all is done. The major pain about this case is the 3.5 adapter. It took forever to get my floppy drive/card reader installed flush. Had to use a drill to make new holes so that adapter would align properly with the holes in the case. Was really concerned that if they were not drilled properly I would lose the adapter. Came out perfect, but beware as I have seen at least one other review here that commented on the same issue.

Picked this bad boy up today and it really is a fantastic looking case. I set the fans at medium speed and you can feel the air being sucked in through the side. Pretty well built too and it had better be such an expensive case that doesnt even include a power supply. It took me 8 solid hours for the install and software but now that i'm looking at the end product it was well worth it! Overclocked my 6600 to 2.8 with stable 42c cpu temps. Did i mention it looks great too??

We bought this for my son's latest gaming machine. The cooling is exceptional, the extra large fan in the top of the case helps keep temperatures down! The only problems we've had were externally caused (our cat likes the case and pushed the top mounted power button once or twice when she was getting on or off). Otherwise, no problems at all! Really good case, highly recommended...
