This product would not pick up any more channels than the 20$ one that I got for an extra bedroom. I was disappointed.

You don't have a very long cord to move it around to line it up. We never got it to work. I would not recommend this.

Make sure that your TV set is digital, all sets made after March of 2007 will have the digital tuner onboard. Point the antenna towards the broadcast towers then using the TV's remote enter the menu system then scan for channels. Thanks. Antennasdirect

I bought this antenna after researching on line the various options. We live about 30 miles from the local TV stations. I did not want to put anything on the roof, or even have anything out and visible if I could avoid it. We have Satellite TV, but the wife wanted to get a local over the air PBS station that is not offered by our Satellite company. I honestly didn't think this would work, but told her I would try it. It took about 5 minutes to put together. I hooked it up per the instructions without the amplifier and did the channel scan. I got 5 channels, but not the one I wanted. I added the amplifier and re-scanned at the lowest setting and got all the local stations including the one we were after! The picture is very clear, HD and the audio is great. No pixilation or cutting out of the picture. Oh, and I got all of this with the antenna in a closed cabinet UNDER the TV in the living room! I suspect that if I had it near a window I would be able to pick up even more, but at this point it is doing exactly what we hoped it would do!

Good Antenna for City Use; Less So for Rural

This antenna is more suited to use in densely populated areas near multiple broadcast sources and flat terrain. For more remote areas, especially those in lower terrain such as valleys, the device provides poor results. I live within 25 miles of a half dozen major network broadcast stations. With two of those stations I experience digital tiling, audio dropouts and video freezing in all weather conditions. I think the 35 mile range is an exaggeration; 20 miles is probably more realistic. Next time I'll go with an outdoor antenna.

    Better Than Most Antennas

I purchased this antenna as an open box item since the salesperson and I verified all the parts were there and nothing was damaged. I figured for $59.99 as opposed to a new regular priced one at $99, what could I lose not to at least give it a try. First of all, this is the 3rd antenna that I tried. The first antenna was a RCA Amplified Indoor Antenna Model: ANT1251, which really isn't a bad antenna but I needed something stronger. I ended up using it in my guest room which still picked up the local channels but it wasn't strong enough in the living room. The second antenna I tried using for my living room was a Terk - Omnidirectional Amplified UHF/VHF Indoor Antenna - Model: FDTV2A. It was recommended to me by the salesman so I decided to try it out. It picked up all the local channels and a total of 22 channels, but it required me to move the antenna every so often to get a constant quality picture as when I would switch the channel, it would then freeze or pixelate. So I didn't want to have this hassle so that is when I returned this for the ClearStream Micron XG Indoor Long-Range Digital TV Antenna . Upon first setting it up and scanning all through the air channels, it only picked up 7 channels, and was missing the main ones like ABC and CBS. This was without using the amplifier and reflector, as the instructions stated to just use the antenna only. I then attached the amplifier and reflector, leaving the antenna in the same position. After another scan of the channels, It picked up 14 channels and that was all the way up to 20db gain. But again, I was not able to pick up ABC and CBS. The channels I was receiving like NBC, Fox, CW , Ion, they were coming in fine with no troubles but I already was thinking of returning it as this wasn't worth the price even at the open box price when I can still return it and use the money for an outdoor antenna. I decided to try one more time. This time I move the antenna about 5 inches closer to the window and lowered the db gain to 15. I re-scanned the channels and to my surprise, I got a total of 27 channels, all the local channels and no freezing and pixelating whatsoever. I guess finding the right spot for the antenna does make a world of a difference! I live about 25 miles north of Seattle , unobstructed of buildings or mountains, so I would say this antenna would do the job once you make the adjustments on positioning and playing around with the db gain. In my humble opinion, if you can make this work, it is well worth the money and most especially at a discounted price like what I got it for on the open box. I think for the full price, it probably is the best standalone indoor antenna not counting antenna's using an external amplifier.

Went to BB store for a different antenna (I had researched many before going in). I was told it would not work in our area. He suggested 2 brands that were working for others in our area. Most channels broadcast from a tower east of us, one is much further SE, and one north of us. We needed an Omnidirectional Antenna. VERY easy to understand instructions. We did not get NBC the first go round without the amplifier. Followed the instructions again and hooked up the amplifier and it worked!! WHAT AN AMAZING PICTURE!!! Better than any HD Pic we ever received with cable! And more channels than we have listed in our area (38 in all now). Paired with Netflix & Hulu (already have Prime and Roku 2) Better Picture, better choice of what to watch! And $84 net less cable bill! (Dumped Cable, only have internet) This worked for us, but check with your local store. They know what works in your area if a lot of people are dropping cable. I researched and decided on two antennas that would not have worked. I am very pleased with the knowledgeable sales people - if not for them, I would be pulling my hair out trying to install an antenna that wouldn't work into our home!! Back to the store for 2 more! Goodbye Cable!! Hello Simple Life!

Clearstream Micron HDTV amplifier Very satisfied with the product for my HDTV, I placed it in front of a window facing north to Milwaukee and can pick up all its broadcast over the air channels. Sometimes I can pick up some signals from Chicago. That is handy when a Chicago station invokes an FCC blackout rule, but the competing Milwaukee station is not showing the scheduled program. Easy to assemble. Connects to a power outlet and the HDMI normal cable input point. I don't run a wireless set up but have a NetGear device plugged in at the set. Can do Netflix streaming. Only problem is searching for a commercial package that includes internet and phone but not TV.

This indoor HDTV Antenna works well with great pictures, but for some reason it skips channels 11 & 13 these do not come in or show on the available channel list???? I do not honestly view these channels that often but can't figure out why they are not showing up with a signal? I intend to purchase another model for my main TV and cutting the cable cord.

I purchased this antenna as an option for when Directv fails and also to see if I can go without Directv in the The antenna tended to be priced higher than I wanted to pay, but I have used the companies antennas in the past and loved them. They are also a local Missouri company so I like to support them. I had some problems assembling the antenna with the stand. I will admit I did not read the install directions, but I feel it should not need to be done. Also I decided I did not want the stand anyway as my plan was to hook it into the TV and place the antenna flat and under the TV stand or flat against the wall behind the stand. Both options have provide excellent reception! Love the antenna

No better than cheap rabbit ears

I bought this to try to replace a set of cheap rabbit ears that were only pulling in 2 stations. With this antenna, I received the same set of stations with the same quality at best. I tried placing both in front of a north facing window (all of the local towers are around 15 miles north-northwest of my home) and on top of a large shelf with similar results. There are a few large trees that probably interfere with the signal, so if you have a clear line of site, it may work for you, but a much cheaper antenna probably would too. I had much better results with the similarly priced, but unamplified and much larger, indoor/outdoor ClearStream 2V placed on top of a shelf. It pulls in all of the stations this one couldn't with minimal issues.
