Only good for close range

Well I got it home and hooked it up and only picked up 2 stations. I am at the edge of the antennas range so I just figured that was the reason for it. As I looked into it further, this is not a UHF/VHF combination antenna. If you need one that does both, move up to the bigger Antennas Direct antenna and you will be much happier (provided you are within the listed effective range).

Easy setup as product was ready to go and hooked up within 10 minutes out of the box. Initial scan picked up 41 channels, and once I deleted the 10 Spanish-speaking channels, we are left with all of our local network stations in clear HD as well as some additional channels for no monthly costs! Definitely would recommend this antenna to a friend.

I used the amplifier, placed the antenna in multiple different locations, and while some channels came in better, others could not be seen due to "poor signal". I purchased a much less expensive antenna and it works very well, It detected an additional 3 channels. Since I waited too long, I can no longer return this antenna. Maybe I can give it to someone to use in a 2 or 3 story house.

Construction is wood so no obstruction of signals. In my opinion, this device is a waste of your time and money. It doesn't provide any significant reception unless 1 channel is okay with you. I am very techie and understand technology so my opinion should count.

I live in Southaven, MS and all of the local broadcast towers are less than 20 miles away in Memphis, TN and this antenna picks up very few of them. It actually picks up less channels than the old $5 RCA antenna that this was supposed to upgrade. Taking this back immediately.

At least it's returnable.
