Customers appreciate Anthem's enjoyable core gameplay, positive flight mechanics, and the open-world exploration. However, some feel the game is hampered by a short story, insufficient content post-campaign, and technical issues such as bugs and lengthy loading times. The loot system also received criticism. While many found the price reasonable, especially on sale, the overall experience is considered to have significant untapped potential.

I wanted this to be the best game ever. But as it turns out it isn’t. Core gameplay is great everything else not so great

Gave it a few weeks and updates before settling on a review. While the game is fun and quite amazing it's a real let down when having to waste time in Tarsis (the home base). Story is pretty basic and after you're done it's your typical grind.
I'm a casual gamer with little play time so end game has been rather boring. The Challenge of VALOR is 25ea for strongholds, contracts, quick play and 100 freeplay events. That is one serious grind for Graphic: Reaver, 4000 Coins, 10 Masterwork Embers and 10 Epic Embers.
Also as a casual gamer it's been crazy to get masterwork anything. Even playing as a main Colossus I've received more sniper rifles than grenade guns or autocannons. No components or gears.
So as a casual, if you have friends to play with COOL but solo can basically be dynasty warriors and get boring very easily.
If you're looking for easy achievements then rent it for bout a month

I enjoyed the game. I played through all of the main and side missions. I didn't see very many bugs, but the loading times can be very long. The cataclysm patch is now out and was not as good as was planned. The question now remains how much longer the servers will be supported. Buy with caution.

Not the same Bioware I grew up with. From KOTOR to Mass Effect (Even Andromeda), I was always a Bioware fan, but since then, their games have become lax and wanting. Maybe in a few months, or years, this game will be awesome, but there are no excuse for how long it took them to develop it that it isn't perfect now. Especially with all the other Looter Shooters out there and they should know what works and what doesn't, and unfortunately, this doesn't.

Anthem is a game with a lot of potential. It truly is a fun and visually appealing game. It has some major issues in balancing and is buggy. Right now the game is a little broken, but could be great in the future. As long as the developers keep working the problems out and add more content.

Pros: Graphics, 4 player multiplayer, storyline, handling the different javelins
Cons: EA servers, have been booted from gameplay multiple times or servers have been just down, also loading times are excessively long when going into the open world

Great game to feel like "Iron Man" flying around in the world however the lack of content, poor loot drops, and poor endgame make this game fun while it lasts but not enough to keep you there.

I easily got burned out with Destiny and The Division, but Anthem brings the grinding type games to a whole new level...in a very good way. I dont get tired of exploring the massive environment. The enemies can be challenging. The recent update, better loot has dropped. Of course, the game needs some more updating, but in its current form, it's a fun game!

This game has gotten a lot of uncalled for negative press. A lot of streamers are bashing this game due to its lack of end game content but as a new IP the expectation of having a plethora of content endgame was talked about beforehand. BioWare has a road map that will give many of the diehard shooter fans content, but that might not see the light of day due to such terrible sales. This game is worth your time and money, I promise.

This game has great free-form gameplay and fighting through the use of four distinct mech suits. Also love how it makes you feel like Iron Man when you fly around in them. Only downside is that you must have a gold membership in order to play this game...but other than that its amazing!

The whole Iron Man concept of this game is fun. I enjoy the game play of this game. The flying, the combat, the guns, the villains, etc. This game is catching a lot of flack, but I still think its worth it. My friends and I enjoy playing the strongholds or the missions together.

I am enjoying the Anthem game play and the mechanic of the it so far, the only issue I have is this is like a beta version. They do not have the full content release and they are releasing it piece by piece each month. So if you have completed the main mission, then you are pretty much stuck with repeatedly doing the same missions, legendary contracts and stronghold missions to get better gear. Also the legendary equipment drop rate is horrible, I have been playing for days doing strongholds mission and legendary missions and have not gotten a piece of legendary equipment. Masterwork items are pretty rare too even on higher level difficulty. I would say get this game on a sale price because is definitely not worth paying the full price or paying extra for the Legion of Dawn edition.

The game is pretty insteresting. I gave it 4 stars but it’s more like 3.5. There’s not really a big community playing this online and the game has crashed for me once during my play throughs. The part that will get most people are the loading screens! They take forever! Other than that I find this game fun to pass some time.

By the developers of Titanfall 2 this is a very fun game to play online with friends. Great multiplayer dynamics and the environment and maps are both beautiful to behold and challenging. The game continues to be improved by the developers. BestBuy offered an exclusive free steelbook with purchase. Thanks, BestBuy!

Its still fun alone but stronger together. The game play is like destiny except you are flying around like iron man. And that is not a bad thing. The game felt like it was not finished. And it requires online in order to play. as of now it runs okay, but others say it runs smoother on the pro than the one X not sure myself. But if u get this at that lowest price or if you got it from a friend. Play it with friends online is fun but it gets bored as you do the same thing over which is repetitively leveling up. Again if u looking for a solo campaign game, i would prefer something else as this games requires online and other people to play in order to finish a mission. Overall great price and the steelbook case is nice too.

I bought this for my friend to play Anthem with me. He enjoyed it but it has its problems with the launch and the cataclysm event helped out a bit to increase gameplay. For $20 dollars, it’s a good value. I paid $60 when it got first released and I felt disappointed but it’s still a fun game to play.

The game was fun and it did have a basic storyline but it wasn't completely dull or boring. It has a pretty cool world to explore and fight through. Really wish the co-op with random people would group me with others more often during missions but it's not necessary to complete the missions.

I have always enjoyed Mech games, and this one does not dissapoint! The flying and hovering is great, flying and fire-fights are fun. I bought this game because I knew I would buy XBOX ONE X with 4k graphics, and it looks amazing!
